🇨🇿#Czechia: The Czech company LPP Holding is expanding its Narwhal cruise missile program. Following successful tests of the smallest variant, it is now continuing the development of two larger versions designed to carry heavier warheads while maintaining similar flight parameters. In addition to the lightest and smallest variant, the Narwhal 140, which has already undergone successful testing, the company presented its largest planned version to date for the first time: the Narwhal 540. This new, top-tier version of the missile is designed to carry a 200 kg warhead. Alongside it, the development of a mid-sized variant with a 100 kg warhead is also progressing. According to the company, both upcoming variants are expected to reach speeds of approximately 750 km/h and a range of around 640 km. However, compared to the original version, the Narwhal 540 will feature a longer fuselage. Narwhal utilizes AI-driven control system, making it more resistant to electronic warfare countermeasures and capable of flying without a GPS signal.

The vehicles have undergone a complete overhaul, getting additional armour on the sides and rear of the vehicle, new rubber mudguards, baskets for crew stuff, Tucha smoke-grenade launchers and an interesting new turret. This is a 14.5x114mm KPVT machine gun remotely controlled from inside the vehicle, fitted with a protective shield and electro-optics. Six of these vehicles can be seen in the video. I managed to contact the author of the video, but I did not get a reply, so we do not know what this new modification is named or what it is called. In Pardubice, Czech Republic, a group of pro-Palestinian activists from an unknown organization called Earthquake Faction set fire to a manufacturing facility belonging to L.P.P., a company that produces drones for Ukraine. The activists claim that this is a “production site for Israeli weapons,” which is, of course, nonsense. LPP signed a memorandum years ago with the Israeli company Elbit Systems to manufacture drones in the event that the Czech Army ordered them. Which did not happen. Given that no one knows anything about the Earthquake Faction, their website was launched this week, the company manufactured primarily for Ukraine, and Russia has a history of several terrorist attacks, acts of sabotage, and attempted ones, in Czechia, I can’t help but say that this seems suspicious to me, to say the least. In any case, I hope the perpetrators are caught, whether they are pro-Palestinian activists or Russians, and that they are charged and sentenced to a long prison term for a terrorist attack. The secret services are already looking into the case.

🇨🇿#Czechia: Demonstration of the MRSI (Multiple round simultaneous impact) capability of the EXCALIBUR ARMY’s 155mm/L45 DITA self-propelled gun howitzer. Thanks to the high level of automation, the howitzer crew consists of only two soldiers, with an emergency station for a third crewman in the turret. DITA is built on the Tatra 815 chassis and weighs 29 tonnes. The range is 39km and the sustained fire rate is 5 rounds per minute. Series production for specific customers started this year.

🇨🇿#Czechia: Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic (HZS ČR, Záchranný útvar HZS ČR) practiced building a temporary bridge using four AM-70 EX bridge laying vehicles based on a Tatra Force 8x8 chassis. A single bridge section spans up to 12.5 meters, and by connecting eight sections, a bridge up to 106 meters long can be created. The structure with a width of 3.5 meters allows for the safe passage of wheeled vehicles weighing up to 73 tons or tracked vehicles weighing up to 63.5 tons. HZS purchased four AM-70 EX bridge vehicles based on experience from the 2024 floods, when the Excalibur Army (EXCALIBUR ARMY) provided them with an AM-70 EX to bridge the river at the site of the destroyed bridge, and when this vehicle proved very effective.
