We were travelling in our Nexon EV in the designated direction when a biker [TG15G3780], riding without a helmet and carrying a pillion rider, suddenly came in front of our car from the wrong direction. We asked him to follow traffic rules and turn back, but instead of listening, he started arguing with us. This happened on a busy highway connecting Hyderabad to Mumbai, with heavy traffic at the time. Later, a traffic police officer arrived at the spot, but even then, the biker refused to accept his mistake and continued arguing with the officer as well. I had pulled my Nexon over to the side of the road for a tea break and was moving slowly along the shoulder when a lorry came from behind and hit me. When I confronted the lorry driver, he claimed he hadn’t even touched, But my dash-cam had captured everything. After we reviewed the footage, he apologised. At the toll booth, the toll operator had closed the booth and said their system was down, demanding double the toll fee. When we asked why we should pay double, given that the toll was already covered, he pretended to restart the system but continued insisting we had to pay extra. When we refused, he called over three or four more men. One of them started misbehaving with us, using abusive language. When I asked which toll booth this was, he replied rudely and told me to "buy the toll booth." I started recording the incident on video, but the man snatched my phone and continued to insult me. He even grabbed my hand, trying to pull me out of the car to delete the video. We were able to capture his face in the video before he called over five or six more men to intimidate us, threatening that they wouldn’t let us leave if we didn’t delete the footage. They kept harassing us despite my companions trying to de-escalate, saying we would delete the video. Eventually, we deleted the video but recovered it from the "recently deleted" folder to report this behavior. We hope the authorities will take action in this matter. You can also check the CCTV footage from that time to see what happened, and I am attaching the video where you can see the man’s face as he tried to drag me out of the car.

I’m attaching the dashcam footage along with this email because I think there’s a broader road safety point here that could be worth covering in one of your videos. I was approaching an intersection where traffic is known to get heavily congested due to vehicles coming from the opposite side. To avoid getting caught in the long queue of vehicles joining the road, I accelerated to around 45 km/h. At that point, a Maruti Suzuki Brezza moved into my path. The car had extremely dark window films including the rear glass and alloy wheels popping out. Also I could not see if the driver noticed me approaching. I honked for roughly 3 seconds to alert them. Afterward, the Brezza began following my car while continuously honking for sometime. I couldn't understand what they were trying to achieve. whether they were angry about the horn, trying to establish dominance, or reacting impulsively. Looking back, I can say there may have been a better way for me to handle the initial situation. I could have honked a little earlier to get the other drivers attention or braked to let them pass. However, hard braking on a busy road filled with two wheelers would not be safe either, as it could have caused someone behind me to crash. Rather than engaging or escalating the situation, I slowed down and let them pass. A few seconds of loss of attention from the Brezza driver and one less second of honking could easily have turned into something serious. I'm not claiming I handled every thing in the situation perfectly, but I don't think road incidents should automatically turn into a matter of ego or retaliation. Getting angry on the road doesnt fix anything. it just creates an opportunity for something much worse to happen. Again, it could have been handled in a much better way than it was.

Incident shared by Subscriber (Aditya) On March 9, 2025, my family—my younger brother, my brother-in-law, and I—went to Mathura for Radha Rani's darshan. While returning towards Gwalior, at around 9:30 PM, we stopped near NH-44, about 8 km before Saiyan Toll Plaza, to use the washroom. At that moment, a blue Baleno without a number plate approached us from the wrong side. After stopping, the occupants started asking us for our car number, the car owner's name, where we were coming from, and where we were headed. Three men got out of the car, heavily intoxicated, and started pushing my younger brother. When we resisted and pushed them back, we immediately tried to leave. However, they started chasing us and caught up to us at Saiyan Toll Plaza. While we were in the FASTag lane, they attacked our car with an iron rod, forcibly opened the driver-side door, hit the driver with the rod, and knocked him unconscious. They smashed the car badly, causing it to roll back in reverse. As the car moved backward, they attacked again before eventually breaking the Saiyan NH-44 Toll Plaza barrier and fleeing within three minutes. We have already filed an FIR at the Saiyan Police Station, and the CCTV footage of the attackers has been retrieved from the toll plaza. I live and work in Pune. I had an unfortunate incident where I was attacked by a few goons on my way home from the office. I was returning from the office in, Kharadi, Pune around 8:30 PM on Wednesday 11th December, 2024. I took a turn on Kharadi-Hadapsar bypass on Accolade society road. As the road was wet and it was not a rainy day I thought of it due to some water tankers which must have passed. But as I reached closer there was a pothole. The car was already slow as it was a narrow alley with bad roads. I further slowed down as evident from dashcam footage. I also tried to keep the wheels of the car to the left of the pothole but it was not possible due to the scooty standing ahead. And the pothole was a little deep and tires rolling over the deep pothole caused a little splash, which was not intentional. After that, these goons chased the car and stopped it a little ahead. You can hear from their language what kind of hooligans they were. I tried to stay calm and tried to explain that it was not intentional but they were not ready to listen to any reasoning. Probably their plan was to take my car to the side and extort money but I refused to take it to the side. Then one of the boys kicked at my car causing a dent and then ran away. I reported this to the police and registered a FIR and gave them the two wheeler number MH12 GP 6147 immediately, but I don't think the police will take any action. The two wheeler's insurance has expired since 2012. They refused to issue any challan also. This kind of incident is common in Pune, Kharadi area and has happened with my colleagues also. The Tiago owner was coming in wrong direction and hit two passenger( Male rider and female pillion) on Activa Scooty . The lady got some injury. The Tiago driver tried to flee the spot but didn't find way because of passersby vehicle.
