Today in the House of Commons I reiterated my condolences for those impacted by the atrocity that took place in Pahalgam. We must stand with those affected by terrorism. The UK must work with our friends in India to tackle terrorist threats and engage with India, Pakistan and key partners in the region to de-escalate tensions and support peace, security and stability.

Palestine Action broke into an RAF base and vandalised aircraft. They invaded a private company’s premises and broke a police officer’s back. These are incredibly serious crimes by an organisation with a long history of violence. It is time to tighten up the rules on the proscription of such groups to ensure they cannot get away with such disgraceful behaviour. The rule of law must be defended.

Today was supposed to be the Chagos Surrender Bill going through the House of Lords.
