When an Indian fits a negative stereotype, nationality makes the headline. When an Indian pilot fights back in a cockpit, lands a plane safely and saves 180 lives, his origin/nationality disappears from the story. Captain Smit Machchhar is Indian. And he is a hero. Please share this far and wide 🇮🇳

🚨 Indian-origin dad in California says he was confronted & accused of potentially child trafficking her. How quickly do we make assumptions based on skin color? Racism & stereotyping against Indian and Hindu Americans IS real. It’s time to talk about it 🇮🇳🇺🇸

🚨 H-1B workers: your 60 day safety net could disappear. U.S. Homeland Security is proposing to eliminate the grace period many workers rely on after losing a job. For NRIs, that impacts careers, mortgages & family plans. DONT PANIC. It’s a proposal, not current law. Here's how to plan ahead ⬇️

One of the BIGGEST misconceptions about Hinduism: “Hindus worship hundreds of gods.” Not quite and the philosophy goes far deeper 🕉️ Shiva. Vishnu. Devi. Many forms, many paths…with Brahman as the ONE ultimate reality. Hinduism in 1 minute ⬇️

Reflections on 9/11: For Indian-Americans, this wasn't someone else's tragedy. America is our home too. Indian-Americans were among those who lost their lives and among the communities that grieved, helped and rebuilt alongside our fellow Americans. As Swami Vivekananda said, incidentally on Sep 11, 1893 in Chicago, “Sisters and Brothers of America.” Choose understanding over intolerance and humanity over hatred. We remember. We never forget. 🇺🇸

Let’s be honest: American backlash against Indian H-1B holders didn’t start with racism- it started with years of H-1B abuse in IT outsourcing: lottery flooding, wage suppression, and job displacement. Pres. Donald J. Trump is targeting the abuse, NOT the Indian-American community. Fixing the system protects legitimate H-1Bs- doctors, innovators & those bringing genuine skilled talent to the US.

Assimilation and success doesn’t mean erasing your culture and identity. Cultural capital is an asset. Be proud of your heritage while building a life in the U.S.

Kanye isn’t selling Hindu 'Swastika' shirts—he's selling Nazi 'Hakenkreuz' shirts. Hitler himself referred to his symbol as a 'hooked cross' in German. So where did 'swastika' come from? The deliberate misconception is a dangerous attempt at creating and carrying a false, Hinduphobic agenda. The swastika is a highly auspicious symbol that has been used for thousands of years- way before WW2. Hindu American Foundation

Indian professionals in America: STOP over-apologizing in the workplace. The ‘reflex sorry’ is costing you authority. You’re not sorry for asking a question. You’re not sorry for having an opinion. Clarity builds credibility. Drop the apology. Keep the humility.

The #RamMandirPranPratishta serves as a positive unifying force, despite what ANTI-India mainstream media says, fostering a collective sense of identity and pride in the shared history, mythology, and spiritual legacy of the Hindu civilization.

Social media trends move fast. History doesn’t. The WWII Memorial honors those who sacrificed across the world. India alone sent 2.5M+ soldiers to fight and 1 of them was my grandfather. Memorials aren’t backdrops. They deserve respect.
