More #Ebola cases are being detected as response is scaled up. An increase in cases does not necessarily mean that the response is failing. It reflects the oucome of intensified efforts that are helping to uncover the true scale of the outbreak.

Today, 30 June 2026, marks one year since I began serving as WHO Regional Director for Africa. My heart is full of gratitude. To our Member States, partners, health workers, civil society, NGOs, financial institutions, philanthropic organizations, faith leaders, media, RECs, and to my family, thank you for walking with me through every challenge and every moment of hope. Africa's spirit, courage and unity continue to light the way forward. Together, we will keep building stronger systems, deeper solidarity and a healthier future for all. Nimekuwa naulizwa sasa je Professor tutumie njia gani kuepuka matumizi ya soda , juisi au keki. Sasa ikitokea unatamani wewe usiseme mimi sitakunywa hii , sema nitakunywa lakini baada ya nusu saa.
