VIDEO | Delhi: Reacting to the judicial custody of CJP co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, CJP legal head Ratna Singh says, "We have been here since morning. We were told that the entire hearing would take place at 12.00 pm. Today, everything was complete, the verification was done, and all requirements were met. We have been waiting here since noon. The SEM (Special Executive Magistrate) was at the police station by 1:30 pm, but he did not enter the courtroom until 5.00 pm. When he finally arrived, he refused to hear our case on its merits regarding whether Saurav and Ashutosh should be released from judicial custody. Instead, he made arbitrary remarks. The public prosecutor, who had not appeared at the police station for the last four days, was present today. Within about five minutes of the proceedings, the SEM told the court that he had received a threatening message. From that point on, the entire discussion revolved solely around that message. It is clear that this entire episode was orchestrated. They had decided beforehand to come into the courtroom and focus exclusively on this alleged threatening message, completely bypassing whether the formalities required for Saurav and Ashutosh's release were fulfilled. Given how this process has been deliberately delayed and handled, I am utterly disappointed..." (Full video available on PTI Videos -

VIDEO | Napur, Maharashtra: CJP founder Abhijit Dipke reacts Saurav Das and others being sent to 5-day judicial custody, says, "I want to tell Narendra Modi that if you want to impose an emergency in the country, do it officially. Why are you running an unofficial emergency where people are sent to five days of detention just for waving the national flag at Jantar Mantar? Such things did not happen even during the Emergency. If you have the strength, declare the Emergency officially. These people are utter cowards who are hiding behind the police. Since yesterday, Saurav, Ashutosh, and Ajinkya were held in illegal detention and were not even allowed to meet their lawyers. This morning, Saurav and Ashutosh were remanded to five days of judicial custody. What was their crime?" On INDIA bloc protests, he said, "All these protests are fighting for the exact same cause. We all share a single goal, fighting against Gyanesh Kumar, who is rigging elections to help Narendra Modi stay in power. Cockroach Janata Party is an independent pressure group and will always remain so but that does not mean we are against the INDIA bloc. We are fighting for the very same cause." VIDEO | Delhi: Addressing a press conference at Jhandewalan, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke says, "... Tonight or tomorrow morning, the Delhi Police people can pick me up. If one has to go to jail for waving the tricolour in this country, then we are ready for it... We had earlier given the call for a protest on 10th October. You shut down all of Delhi, shut the buses, shut the metros, shut the railways, shut down the internet, put up barricades. Now we said that on the 16th we will wave the tricolour at Connaught Place, in Central Park, so you shut Central Park." (Full video available on PTI Videos - #Delhi

VIDEO | Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi addresses a press conference with protesters, introduces a female protester as "our sherni". He says, "I want to introduce our 'sherni'. She was beaten, but she was not afraid. There was no hatred in her heart." The female protester alleges that she was assaulted by a woman police constable during a protest. She says, "Yesterday, all NSUI workers were protesting peacefully when we were detained in three buses. There were many of our colleagues, around 30-40 in each bus. In our bus, there were two girls and 20-30 other NSUI colleagues. There was a woman constable in the bus named Chanchal Yadav. After being detained, we tried to get off the bus again through the gate and continue leading the protest. We tried to stop the bus and sat down beneath it so that our protest could somehow continue. But Chanchal Yadav grabbed me tightly by the neck and pushed me, causing me to fall backwards onto the seat. She then scratched my face with her nails, leaving scratches across my face and near my ear. When I resisted her, she slapped me so hard and said, 'Here, take another slap across your face.'" VIDEO | Delhi: Chief Imam of the All India Imam Organisation, Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi says, "I am making an appeal and request to all the Muslims and especially to the Imams of the mosques. You know what the situation is going on in the country at present. Some anti-national forces want to spoil the peace in our country. A big conspiracy is being hatched to spoil the environment of the country by misleading people. I want to tell all the Muslims, those political parties who have called to join the protest on 10th and the way they have called, these protests are being carried out against the government, I want to tell the Muslims that we are not something to be used. Till date we Muslims have been used to this only. This is a very wise time. Any decision taken out of emotion is not right. Act wisely and wise decisions are very good." VIDEO | Hingoli, Maharashtra: Reacting to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke says, “The way Amit Shah is speaking with such confidence suggests that he and Gyanesh Kumar must have already decided the (poll) outcome. There can be no bigger example of this.”

VIDEO | Hingoli, Maharashtra: CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke says, "Delhi Police, if you have the courage, release the entire video in which I repeatedly asked them to let me speak to my cousin, give me my phone for two minutes and allow me to speak to my lawyer. Why are you not releasing that video? You are showing an edited version. If you have the courage, show the entire video so that people can understand how you denied me my basic rights. Allowing a person to call their lawyer after arrest or detention is a legal right. Delhi Police did not even allow me that, and now they are taking the moral high ground. They did not tell me, my parents or my lawyers where I was being held, which police station I was in or where in the country I had been taken. They did not inform anyone throughout the day. At 3.30 am, they deliberately wanted me to call my parents and cause them further distress when they had already lost my grandmother. Was I supposed to give them another shock by telling them that their son was going to be jailed for a long time? Delhi Police was mentally torturing not just me but my family as well. Did the Delhi Police tell my family where I was being held? They kept telling me to speak to my parents, but did they tell my parents which jail or police station I was in? If they did not, why not? Why did they not tell them? Did they have no humanity?" (Full video available on PTI Videos -

VIDEO | Delhi: During a press conference after the INDIA bloc high-tea meeting at Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi’s residence, AISA president Neha Bora says, “When we say ‘We the People versus the BJP’, we are talking about one fight. We are talking about one common enemy, one enemy of the people of this country, one enemy of Indian democracy, one enemy of the Constitution, and the name of that enemy is the BJP. If the BJP thinks it can attack the foundations of democracy, and when people take to the streets to protest and demand their voting rights, their right to protest can also be taken away and they will remain silent, then the BJP has something else on its head. They can compromise democracy and what the Constitution stands for. They have never played a role in making India a democracy or in upholding the Constitution. But the common people of this country, who have fought and sacrificed their lives to make India a democracy and defend the Constitution, are not ready to settle for a stolen mandate or a compromised democracy...” (Full video available on PTI Videos - #Delhi #INDIAbloc
