Zack Gelof is suing the Detroit Tigers after missing “30 days of work” following an injury from attempting to catch a fly ball The lawsuit says that the collision tore his uniform and caused a deep laceration beneath his right kneecap that missed his patellar tendon. He was removed from the game shortly after. Gelof argues that the metal fencing was sharp, exposed and not protected in an area where players are expected to run or slide while attempting to make plays. The complaint specifically alleges: - Insufficient padding. - Inadequate space between the playing area and the fence - Sharp metal - A risk of players colliding with the structure - Failure to repair, redesign or relocate the fencing - A failure to warn players about the supposed hazard (Via FOX 2 Detroit)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. opens up on his slump year: “I want people to understand one thing. The money they gave me wasn’t for what I’m going to do. It was for what I already did. They didn’t pay me because I’m going to hit 40 every year. They paid me for what I already accomplished. People are confused about that, but I think the same way they do. Like, sometimes I even say to myself: bro, they gave you all that money and you’re out here doing nothing. I try. You know how it is with fans, when you’re good, they’re with you 100%. But when you smell like shit, like we like to say here, nobody supports you. The ones who support you are the ones who stay with you. Those are my fans. My family.” (h/t Master Flip | Phillip Feliz 🇩🇴)
