Papyrus made the incredible decision to include the Nürburgring Nordschleife, as it was in 1967, in their Grand Prix Legends simulation. Without access to modern laser scanning it was an incredible achievement in quality and accuracy. #simracing #retrogaming #f1 #nordschleife

Just how accurate were the tracks in Geoff Crammond's Formula One Grand Prix? Here's a side by side comparison between F1GP (Amiga version) and real-life. The real lap has been adjusted to match speed only. #simracing #retrogaming #f1 #senna #monza

Grand Prix 3, released in 1998, featured software rendering that is stunning in its own way. This meant people could still play GP3 with only a basic display adapter and no hardware acceleration if their CPU was powerful enough to run it. #simracing #retrogaming #f1 #redbullring

Spa-Francorchamps 1967 in Grand Prix Legends. One of only a couple of choices Papyrus made that stepped away from realism as a design decision, and not a limitation of the technology, was using the modern profile of Eau Rouge. #simracing #retrogaming #belgiangp #f1

Some footage from the press preview VHS tape of the never released Grand Prix 4 XBOX development build. The footage shows that it ran pretty well, but did suffer some slowdowns at high resource tracks like Monaco. Full video is on my YT. #simracing #retrogaming #f1 #xbox
