On the 20th of October this happened, I watched as mainstream media arrived with the U.N. envoy instead of staying the night like the rest of us and seeing how israel was playing mind games and dropping bombs as if it was a toy…total disregard. I didn’t think to post it assuming that no way things would get this bad or last this long. Following this video my mother grounded me saying, “you are one person but part of so many, you do what you can and that makes you a sum of the parts, don’t think of what you can’t do but what you can do”, it was not to lessen from me but rather so I don’t ever get bogged down and see that we all have a role to play. At the end of the day you are speaking up one year against a cult like ideology that has been operating for over 70 years. It may take time but the point is…it has started. We are all a sum of the part and don’t ever underestimate yourself. Instead of thinking there’s nothing I can do, change it to ‘what can I do?’. Even a small action will have an effect in the right direction. As lonely as this year has been for a lot of us it’s important to know that you are not alone in your feelings or your actions, despair is their weapon hope and justice is ours.

I honestly don’t know what’s left to be said anymore. We wake up to hundreds being killed in Gaza. People being starved and now about to die of thirst. The entity killing and starving getting away with playing victim and strong arming the region…the world. You would think that it all would have stopped with the first hospital being bombed…but it didn’t…and so they continued. The final push of the occupation is its bloodiest. And we are supposed to sit here and watch it happen. Israel is telling the world we will either expel the Palestinians or kill them all…your choice. The world is getting darker and will continue until leaders take a real initiative collectively to stand against an entity that kills children with ease and pride.

I am sick to my stomach. They don’t care what video is shown they got away with shooting kids so whats to stop them? This is in Nablus not in Gaza. They stop an ambulance not allowing a young man to get the medical care he needs and then proceed to hit the woman. Where are the women’s groups that are usually so quick to come out with daggers?

I keep watching this video over and over again. We have been watching people subjected to the most horrific of crimes continuously without pause. This young man has aged beyond his years, he went from holding what he had left of his mother, a shoe, to being shot at trying to get aid from what is left of his family. Anybody who does not do all they can for this young man will regret it. His pain should force you to act. And even then! He is explaining the situation without focus on hate which would be extremely justified. And then on the other end you see Zionists holding barbecues as they block aid…what is this madness?

Louay and Maha like thousands of others have found themselves in the most unnecessary situation. Why should she have lost her mother and siblings in this way? For what? And for Louay to suddenly find himself caring for orphaned children when he can’t even feed nor shelter himself? This is Zionism, not the propaganda pictures of them handing sandwhiches to EU passport holders (who even their fate is unknown), but the tearing apart of families and celebrating the act. How many social media videos of IDF soldiers have we had to watch as they celebrate all this death and destruction. Let’s be realistic…if Maha survives this, what is the world planning on telling her? Will the same justifications apply? If you can look at Maha and repeat these justifications then you are a monster.
