The local and international drug and underworld mafia are so strong that governments must be equally strong to dismantle both for the safety and well-being of their nations. Today, we too are facing a rise in murders linked to organized crime, while large-scale drug detections continue. As a nation, we must confront and dismantle these threats. As the opposition, we stand ready to assist the government in any decision it takes in its war on drugs. Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte launched a full-scale war on drugs in his own country. Although his arrest today is widely discussed, it should not discourage governments from continuing their fight against drugs or allow them to fall prey to external interference. As a responsible opposition, we should support the government in achieving this.
