Dravid's last scoring shot in cricket was an all-run 4. Unique? Guy was industrious throughout his career. Also, nice to see that he ran those 4 with Sachin at the other end, a man who played 146 Tests with. Started his career with Sourav at the other end. 113 Tests with him.

What does swing at 152 kmph look like? This. Gary Kirsten just didn't have any clue how to tackle that and finally had his middle stump knocked over.

Ravi Shastri clearly doesn't agree with resting Bumrah in Edgbaston and risking going down 0-2. Here's an excerpt from the ep with R SRIDHAR on A Century Of Stories where he gives a hint of how the selection would have been done if Shastri was the coach right now.

Konstas' fearless approach against Bumrah reminded me of this very special debut knock (although on ODI debut) by Ben Hollioake in 1997. 19 year-old. Playing at Lord's. Against McGrath and Warne. 63 off 48 with 11 4s and 1 6. Passed away unfortunately in a car crash in 2002.

The team is tottering at 121/6 chasing 206 and still the crowd gets up on its feet as this guy enters the ground. And, as if on cue, he delivers against the World Champion Aussie side. Also, do listen to Tony Greig's commentary as Klusener arrives. Miss this man's commentary!

Pulls Bond for six to the longest part of the ground and forces him to pitch it up. Then unfurls a glorious cover drive next ball. Was such a glorious sight (when not scoring those runs against India)

Have never seen something like this in cricket. Have you? Just imagine if Carey getting Bairstow's wicket this way in the second Ashes Test.

Just goes on to show that AI is going to speak the same lie that has been spoken 100 times on the internet. Internet is/was full of articles that repeated the piece of misinformation that Kapil Dev never bowled a no-ball. But he bowled one right at the beginning of his career.

This is Dean Waugh, the third Waugh brother to play First Class cricket. Not sure how many of you have watched any footage of him batting before. So, here it is. Meanwhile, the tournament being played here is the Super 8s, a short format innovation tried out in Australia in the mid 90s.

When one thinks of cricket and guitar, the first name that's most likely to pop up in your head is of Brett Lee. But a man who has had a far longer and deeper relationship with music, and guitar in particular, is former India coach John Wright. The New Zealand batter used to sing in the choir at his boarding school and had taken guitar lessons at the age of 10. While sports took centre stage soon in his life, music remained with him throughout his career. During his time with Derbyshire, he would often go to the local pub The Woodlark and play there. The guitar, in fact, remained a constant companion of Wright during his time with Team India as coach and he even wrote a number of songs in that 5 year period. He mentions in his autobiography about writing one of them sitting in a hotel room in Dhaka in 2004 on Christmas when he couldn't be with the family due to his work commitments, aptly titled Christmas Away Blues. After he was done with coaching, Wright decided to finally give time to music and from that came an album titled Red Skies in 2016. Wright has also travelled performing with the band The Sou'Westers in the past few years. Here is Wright performing Red Skies.

Surprisingly, the closest someone came to breaking Kapil Dev's record was Mitchell Johnson in 2009. Any predictions for who can break it in the coming years?
