This exchange is like a cartoon. Zohran: Here’s a detailed explanation of how we can make groceries more affordable. CNN: Soviet Union grocery stores? CNN’s Erin Burnett expresses fear of Zohran Mamdani opening Soviet style grocery stores in NYC. I’m not kidding.

Wild behavior by Republican strategist and staunch Trump defender Adolfo Franco on Al Jazeera’s Inside Story. He outrageously blows up at the show’s host Sami Zeidan for politely challenging him on Israel’s genocide in Gaza. This is after Adolfo totally made up that Hezbollah wants to chase Christians out of Lebanon and turn it into an Islamic state. Embarrassing and unprofessional.

Jamaal Bowman tells me he offered to go to Michigan for the Kamala Harris campaign to rally support for Democrats since he’s popular there. The Harris campaign ignored him and instead sent Ritchie Torres, Liz Cheney and then Bill Clinton to scold Arab Americans. Pretty incredible details here ⬇️

Some Lebanese Americans protested an event at the Lebanese embassy ambassador’s residence in Washington, DC today, accusing the Lebanese government of complicity in Israel’s killings of their family in the south. “This government has sold us out” “Our family has been killed. Our land has been taken. My grandparents’ graves have been destroyed by Israel in cooperation with the Lebanese government.” “You’re trying to celebrate their culture while they’re being ethnically cleansed”

“Iran stepped up and defended Lebanon yesterday. That’s the optics.” I told Piers Morgan a ceasefire in Lebanon is central to any US-Iran deal and Iran just proved it means it. This is not a war on Hezbollah. It’s a war on Lebanon’s people, its towns, its infrastructure. If Trump won’t restrain Israel, there is no regional settlement. Full stop.

I just appeared on ABC News to: – Call out Israel’s indiscriminate bombing of Lebanon yesterday – Reject the propaganda that these were “Hezbollah targets” – Expose the so-called negotiations with Lebanon’s weak unrepresentative government – Show how they’re meant to sabotage an Iranian imposed ceasefire and push Lebanon toward civil war Watch:

My latest on Al Jazeera English about tonight’s Iran strike on Israel: • Iran did what Lebanon’s own government refused to do: defend Lebanon from Israeli bombs • The Lebanese government condemns Iran while allying with the Americans who arm and coordinate Israel’s strikes on Beirut • The anti-Hezbollah camp is using Israeli military force to achieve what they can’t win democratically (Hezbollah is Lebanon’s largest elected parliamentary bloc) • Tonight we find out if Trump has the political will to actually put a leash on Israel

Not a single mainstream western media outlet has covered the Swiss authorities arresting Electronic Intifada’s executive director Ali Abunimah. A “civilized” western country is persecuting a journalist for exposing Israel’s crimes and the media is silent. Bunch of hypocrites.

Lebanese journalist Ghadi Francis | غدي فرنسيس explains why Israel will fail

Just told Al Jazeera English: - There is NO ceasefire in Lebanon. - Israel is blowing up villages and killing civilians, journalists and rescue workers - The U.S. is NOT a neutral mediator and is trying to separate Lebanon from a broader regional settlement with Iran - The Lebanese government has zero leverage, its negotiations aren’t credible and it can’t even secure a ceasefire while the south burns

Just appeared on Al Jazeera English w/ Folly Bah Thibault to talk about: - Israel’s openly declared plan to steal South Lebanon - How it’s unlikely to work against fierce resistance from Hezbollah - And how the outcome of the Iran war could determine how bad it gets in Lebanon, and how long it lasts

On Al Jazeera English, I explained why the future of a U.S.-Iran deal now depends on whether Trump is willing to force Israel to comply with a ceasefire in Lebanon. The easiest way to stop Hezbollah attacks on Israeli soldiers is for those soldiers to stop occupying Lebanese territory. Israel won’t stop violating the ceasefire unless Washington imposes real consequences. And the Lebanese government seems to be shifting its tone, recognizing that Iran, not the U.S., has been the primary force pushing for de-escalation in Lebanon.

I’m at an event in Dearborn, Michigan where the Trump campaign is holding an event headlined by former Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell. He’s selling Trump as the candidate for peace in the Middle East, with zero details. But this messaging is working on some people. There are 3 kinds of Arabs at this event. 1) Arab American Republicans who already were in Trump’s corner 2) Younger people who believe nothing will be worse than the genocide Harris and Biden have overseen. They think Trump is a wild card, maybe he’ll stop it, but Harris definitely won’t. 3) Middle and upper middle class Arabs who voted for Biden in 2020 but are incensed by Biden/Harris on the genocide and find Trump’s family values ideas appealing. Truly a stunning display to see. Dems created this opportunity, just wow.

Israel loves to boast that it treats its Arab “minority” equally. THIS IS A LIE. Genocidal incitement in Israeli media extends to all Palestinians, including those who have Israeli citizenship. Israelis openly threaten to murder them on TV. Great montage from Al Jazeera:
