Amed. Diyarbakır really is a beautiful city with a unique atmosphere. Its ancient black basalt walls, the historic Sur district, the Tigris (Dicle) River, and the mix of Kurdish, jewish Armenian, and Assyrian heritage give it a depth you can truly feel. The food, the music, and the warmth of the people add even more soul to the city. It’s one of those places where history and everyday life blend naturally.
