I wonder if parents realise they could lose access to their YouTube/TikTok/etc accounts if they allow their children to use their accounts, even under supervision. If age inference technology is used, even if you're adult and it's your account, if it accesses what they consider junior/teen content, those accounts could be cancelled/suspended. This is an example of where the government's policy will directly override a parent. The government is parenting for you and you won't have a choice If this isn't what you want, you better speak up now!

This exactly what I warned about. Parents will have no right to parent their children. If they allow their children to use their accounts, they could be blocked/suspended. The age verification bill isn't just for u16's, it's aimed at adults too. This is only the beginning of online Censorship.

I'm calling it now. Albo is going to call for fuel rationing. The Liquid Fuel Emergency Act 1984 is legislation designed to manage severe shortages of liquid fuels (petrol, diesel, jet fuel) by giving the Energy Minister, via the Governor-General, power to control fuel supply chains. It is a last-resort measure enabling rationing, industry directives, and prioritising essential users during national shortages. He may also call for a Work from Home mandate. What do you think? Will Albo do it?

Free Speech is dead in Australia! The laws that you support today will be used against you tomorrow. Listen carefully to what Albo is saying. Then think about who they designate as a "threat" to social cohesion. Then you know who they're coming after!

Hate Speech laws were never designed to deal with the radicalised hate in our community, because it's Labor's voter base. Hate Speech laws were designed to silence critics and opposing political ideology. "Will new hate speech laws be applied to radical Muslim clerics in Western Sydney?" Deputy PM Richard Marles stammering and stuttering his way through his reply by avoiding giving an answer. Hate Speech laws must be repealed and replaced with nothing!

Hate Speech laws were never designed to deal with the radicalised hate in our community, because it's Labor's voter base. Hate Speech laws were designed to stifle dissent, silence critics, and quell opposing political ideology. Reporter: "Is radical Islam, in your view, the greatest domestic security threat Australia faces?" Albo: : "I'm concerned, I'm concerned about Neo-Nazis..." They keep telling us what they're planning to do. They're not interested in radicalised hate, they want to silence Australians with opposing political ideology. All roads lead to Rome, and in this case Rome is those on the "Far Right!"

The U16s ban was just the start. The Labor party are drunk on online censorship. First it was the U16s ban. Next is the Search Engine Code. Then comes the Expanded Industry Codes. Once these are in place then they will push for the Digital Duty of Care Act. This is the mis/disinformation bill on steroids. And finally Digital ID for everyone. Starting Dec 27, Australia’s new Search Engine Code kicks in: Google,Yahoo, Duck Duck Go & Bing must use age assurance tech (facial estimation, etc.) on logged-in Aussie accounts. Expanded Industry Codes for Broader Platforms (Effective March 2026). This extends "duty of care" obligations to social media, messaging apps (e.g., WhatsApp), designated internet services (e.g., adult sites, high-risk AI platforms), app stores (e.g., Google Play, Apple App Store), and device/equipment providers (e.g., smartphone makers). It emphasises age assurance to block child access to harmful content, plus tools like blocking/reporting features. Then comes the Digital Duty of Care Act followed by mandatory Digital ID. See first post on details for the Digital Duty of Care Act that's coming next year!

The shooters owned half a dozen rifles, but they didn't carry the cache of weapons with them. Restricting the number of guns you can own would've changed nothing. We don't need to look at our gun laws but rather, how radicalisation slips through ongoing checks. We need to look at the people behind this, not the guns that were used. We also need to look at the police response to this situation and why it was allowed to go on for so long. Why did it take citizens to instigate the takedown? The government is avoiding the real issues at hand. "Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will put tougher gun laws to national cabinet today that could include limits to the number of guns someone can possess legally and a review of existing licences."

This is extremely sad. No child should have to go through this. No child should be allowed to suffer this torture. Watch this heartbreaking story of Milo, a girl who transitioned as a child and the subject of an MTV feature as a poster child of the transgender movement. It ruined her life, and I'm deeply saddened by what her future will hold.

Our government is coming to silence dissent and disarm Australians with these new laws. They use words like Terrorist designation, then safety and harmony. Not unlike pandemic declaration, then protecting our community. Once these laws are in place, the government can apply them as they see fit. If you give up freedom for safety, you will end up with neither!

This should be interesting, even though Julie Iman Grant works for the Australian government, she is still a US citizen. I'm looking forward to see how this plays out. The US congress has threatened to compel Australia’s eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant to testify over allegations that the regulator harassed American tech companies.

Hate Speech is the idea that words are offensive. Being offended is subjective. What may offend one person may not offend another. What happened to the time when sticks and stones would break your bones but words would never hurt you? Steve Hughes expresses this perfectly!

More censorship is coming! The Digital Duty of Care Act is on the government's agenda! We're still in this war over free speech and online privacy. Even after the under-16 social media ban kicked in last month, the government's pushing ahead with the Digital Duty of Care under the Online Safety Act. Presented as "protecting users from harm," this is just another power grab that could crush free expression and ramp up surveillance. Here's why we need to fight this tooth and nail: 1. Massive Threat to Free Speech: Censorship on Steroids: Platforms will be forced to preemptively scrub anything that might be seen as "harmful" to dodge fines or lawsuits. That's goodbye to edgy debates, memes, or any opinion that doesn't toe the official line. Dissent? Labeled "misinfo" and gone. Silencing the Little Guy: Broad "harm" definitions will hit independent voices hardest, think podcasters, citizen journalists, or anyone challenging big government or corporations. This isn't safety; it's enforced echo chambers. 2. Privacy Nightmare: Big Brother Boost: To comply, companies will track your every click, post, and like even more than they do now. Expect deeper data mining and logs to prove they're "preventing harm." Your private conversations? Not any more. Government Backdoor: With eSafety Commissioner calling shots, this opens the door to state spying under "duty of care." We've seen it with the social media ban challenges, next up, your data handed over on demand. 3. Killing Innovation and Economy: Startup Stranglehold: Small platforms can't afford the compliance army needed for constant risk assessments. Big Tech wins, diversity dies, and we get a bland, controlled internet. Aussie Isolation: Global companies might bail or limit services here, like threats during the ban rollout. Higher costs, fewer options, all in the name of "safety." 4. Vague Laws, Easy Abuse: Fuzzy Rules: "Foreseeable harm"? Who decides? Arbitrary enforcement will chill speech as platforms play it safe to avoid legal headaches. Political Weapon: History shows these powers get twisted to target critics. Remember the misinformation bills? This is that on steroids. Why We Must Abolish This Before It Passes: The Digital Duty of Care isn't about protection, it's control. With the under-16 ban already facing court battles into 2026, we can't let this slide. Instead: A. Boost Education: Teach digital smarts and critical thinking in schools, not top-down censorship. B. Demand Transparency: Platforms should share moderation stats voluntarily, like X's Community Notes, without government mandates. C. Enforce Real Laws: Tackle actual crimes like child exploitation with existing tools, not blanket overreach. Is time to stand up and be heard! Contact your MPs, spread the word, and join the fight for freedom. Australia deserves a free digital space, not a nanny state lockdown. The battle continues, join me in this fight! #FreeSpeech #NoCensorship #DigitalDutyOfCare #Australia
