Saheed Opeyemi Adedeji, the Personal Assistant to Nurudeen Wakili (Alowonle), the sacked State Chairman of the Park Management in Osun State, made a confessional statement to journalists in Osogbo. He stated that it was true that they used guns and opened fire on officers of the Nigeria Police Force when the officers arrived at Oke Ijetu Motor Park, Osogbo, to restore peace after receiving a distress call from members of the community. He also confirmed that he was arrested with rifles and alleged that one guy popularly known as Sibi from Ile Ife, along with several others, including Nuru Alowonle (at large), was involved in the incident.
