People can call me a jerk, but THIS is why the G5 is dying. Tulane went toe-to-toe with Kansas State. Darian Mensah threw 2 TDs to Alex Bauman and had them leading in the 4th. Where did Mensah and Bauman go? Miami. And how much compensation did Tulane get from Miami for developing that talent? $0. Then we ask, “Why can’t the G5 compete?”

If you’ve never been to Cal Poly or San Luis Obispo, put it on your college football bucket list. SLO might genuinely be one of the coolest settings in the entire sport. A true college town on California’s Central Coast, surrounded by mountains, hiking, vineyards and the Pacific Ocean just minutes away. One of the most unique settings in college football. It’s Absolutely unbelievable place. There’s nothing else quite like Cal Poly and SLO. 🐎🏈🌊⛰️

San Diego State might be the worst program in America at selling itself. You’re recruiting kids to SAN DIEGO. North Park, La Jolla, Carlsbad, Coronado, Downtown, Sunset Cliffs, beaches, weather—the list is endless. People move here from all over the country and never want to leave. Everyone talks about these “unbelievable college towns,” but how many people are dying to stay there after graduation? SDSU shouldn’t have to sell San Diego. San Diego should be selling SDSU. It’s mind-boggling. 🌴🏈🌊

Genuinely feel awful for Alex Bauman. In the era of gambling and social media, one missed block shouldn’t define a kid’s career. This is the same guy who caught the game-winning TD against USC in the Cotton Bowl and gave Tulane one of the greatest wins in program history. Remember THAT.

Everyone saying, “Ohio State won the playoff, and they were the better team” is completely missing the point. Ohio State lost TWO games to Michigan and Oregon. In the old system, they’re not even playing for a national championship. 2008 USC lost to Oregon State. Did that suddenly mean Oregon State was the better team? 😂 USC finished 12-1, allowed 9.0 POINTS PER GAME, ranked #1 nationally in scoring defense and held opponents to 221.8 yards per game. That defense has a legitimate argument as one of the greatest ever. Give that USC team a 12-team playoff and they would’ve dog-walked everybody. That’s the point: the expanded playoff changed what losing a regular-season game means which made college football so epic every Saturday

Everyone thinks Dan Lanning is one of the best coaches in college football. Oregon has every advantage imaginable—NIL, facilities, recruiting, resources—and Jason Eck took FCS Idaho into Autzen and went toe-to-toe with him. Give Jason Eck Oregon’s resources and see what he does. Better yet, put Dan Lanning at Idaho or New Mexico with a fraction of those resources and see what HE does. Look at Curt Cignetti: D2 → FCS → G5 → Big Ten. He won EVERYWHERE. Dominated Dan Lanning because he’s a 1000x better coach Great coaching isn’t just winning with more. It’s doing more with less.

Every game in college football DOESN’T matter anymore. 15 years ago, Oregon beating Ohio State in Autzen would’ve basically eliminated Ohio State from the national title race. In 2024? Ohio State lost, got a rematch in the playoff, beat Oregon and won the title. That’s the problem. College football used to be special because EVERY Saturday had consequences. Now it’s becoming the NFL with college uniforms.

Never forget Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler going on a 2-minute rant during the SEC Championship about how the SEC was above everyone… while the broadcast was literally showing a graphic of Alabama’s -2 rushing yards as they were LOSING BY 21. 😂 You couldn’t script the SEC propaganda any better.

I’m guessing OSU means Ohio State not Oregon State?! USC kicked Ohio State’s teeth in 35–3 in 2008, then went into the Horseshoe and beat the Buckeyes in 2009. And here’s the funny part: USC went 5–4 in the Pac-10 that year. Ohio State went 7–1 in the Big Ten. What does that tell you?

People really don’t realize how many absolutely top-notch college campuses California has. Stanford, USC, UCLA, UC Santa Cruz, CAL, Pepperdine, UCSB… and the University of San Diego has literally been ranked the No. 1 most beautiful campus in America. I made these ridiculous stadium concepts just to show off how 🔥 some of these schools and locations are.

The problem with college football today is every game DOESN’T matter anymore. You can lose and still get another shot. It’s becoming the NFL. Boise State, West Virginia, Louisville, Oregon—you got upset, your season changed. That pressure made Saturdays special. Give 2008 USC a 12-team playoff and they might’ve beaten everybody by 2 TDs 😂 The chaos mattered because the consequences were REAL. That’s what made college football different from every other sport.

You mean Rich Rodriguez—the guy who helped revolutionize the spread, took West Virginia to within ONE win of playing for a national championship, then beat Scott Frost’s Oregon TWICE at Arizona? and also Arizona to a New Years six bowl. And Scott Frost—the Oregon OC who went to the CFP, then took over an 0-12 UCF program and went 13-0 two years later, beating Auburn in the Peach Bowl? Yeah… those guys can’t coach. 😂

Khalil Mack’s 2013 performance against Ohio State belongs in college football history. In Columbus, he racked up 9 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a pick-six, completely taking over the game against a Top-10 Buckeye team. One of the greatest individual defensive performances ever.
