During a recent visit to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to support a student who had been stabbed, I witnessed a critical shortage of hospital beds. I initially planned to donate beds, but due to supply challenges in Kumasi, I consulted with hospital management. They advised that wheelchairs would be just as essential in improving patient mobility and care. Today, I am proud to donate these wheelchairs to support the hospital and its patients. Healthcare affects us all, you never know when you or a loved one might rely on these very facilities. Let’s stand together to protect and strengthen our health institutions.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, a true titan of Ghanaian innovation and a visionary leader. He was one of the greatest industrial pioneers this nation has ever known. I have always believed profoundly in his work and had hoped our nation could provide the strategic support necessary to propel his inventions onto the global stage. Today, I had the honour of meeting with 268 former MMDCEs at my private office in Accra. We had a frank and forward-looking conversation about the future of our party and our beloved country. I emphasized the urgent need to rebuild our party on the foundation of unity, fairness, and respect for grassroots leadership. I also reaffirmed my decision to contest in the upcoming primaries and shared my deep concern about the unfair treatment all MMDCEs faced under the previous administration. Excessive centralization in Accra undermined local governance, stripped MMDCEs of real power, and stalled development in our communities. I assured them, under my leadership, that will change. It’s time to restore dignity to public service and give real power back to the people on the ground. Together, we will rebuild and rise.
