Bukavu | October 17, 2026 In the spirit of the Front pour la Refondation de la Nation, our strength lies in unity, solidarity, and the willingness to learn from and support one another. North Kivu Governor Bahati Musanga Erasto shares urban sanitation strategies with his South Kivu counterpart, demonstrating that when leaders work hand in hand, they can turn shared challenges into collective solutions. One vision, one commitment, one people, one nation. Together, we are building a future where cooperation drives development, public service puts people first, and every effort contributes to the refoundation of our nation. Our mission is greater than any one of us: it is about our people, our nation, and the future we build together.

Micombero, where is your fellow propagandist, Ndjike Kaiko? This video shows the last time those forces stepped foot on Ngungu’s soil, and it will never happen again. For your followers living in delusion, feeding off propaganda day in and day out, here is a quick reality check: watch FARDC and their allies spend mere minutes in Ngungu before being sent on a one-way trip."

M23 has achieved something unprecedented in history. This is a professional army that took control of a city of nearly five million people without destroying a single building. They captured thousands of armed fighters, including members of Forces Armée Congolaise - FARDC and mercenaries, without harming them. What more does the world want? This is the difference between those who value life and those who seek destruction. We stand for life. Forces Armée Congolaise - FARDC are our brothers, and together, we will work to bring peace where many thought it was impossible. Not to mention #SAMIDRC, Burundian and #FDLR The video below shows that if this is possible, bringing peace is possible when one is committed to look for it! Dear Julius Sello Malema, Your SA National Defence Force 🇿🇦 soldiers were not killed in South Africa. When you were fighting against apartheid, M23 did not stand in your way. Yet here you are, in our land, fighting alongside génocidaires, armed groups, and mercenaries. And now, you are one to say M23 declared a war? Is Goma Pretoria? Let’s not forget, this started back in 2013. Many of your former presidents, starting with #ThaboMbeki, understnd the complexities of our situation. If you take the time to reflect, you’ll see that it was South Africa that declared war on M23—not the other way around.

Having recently defected from the Mutayomba forces, he is urging his former comrades to abandon the reckless campaign orchestrated by Kinshasa. Why should the youth of Kivu, separated from Kinshasa by over 2,000 kilometers, allow themselves to be used to destabilize their own homeland, all while a corrupt regime plunders the nation's wealth? Recognizing this betrayal, these fighters have turned their backs on Mutayomba to align with the movement actually driving real change on the ground.

According to SA National Defence Force 🇿🇦, their mission to achieve peace and stability has been successful, which is why they are withdrawing. They acknowledged that security exists in the liberated areas, unlike those still under Kinshasa’s control. Sophie Mokoena

Another notorious combatant has been captured, marking a significant loss for Kinshasa. One of the FDLR’s senior figures, known as Tokyo (real name Yoweri, from Kivuye in western Rwanda), was captured by AFC/M23 forces in a location called Muzimu (“Ghost”) in Masisi, North Kivu. Tokyo is a man of great cruelty. Alongside others such as Jean-Marie of Nyatura, Tiger, and Ignace Dunia, he was responsible for horrific acts including rape, murder, and the burning of countless homes. His capture represents one of the most significant blows to the FDLR leadership. True to its professionalism, AFC/M23 handled the situation with discipline. Although Tokyo was wounded in the leg, he was treated and safely evacuated by AFC/M23 forces, a striking display of humanity toward someone responsible for thousands of orphans and victims of sexual violence. In areas under AFC/M23 control, groups like the FDLR and other armed factions have no chance. The safety and protection of the civilian population remain the top priority of AFC/M23.

The message from Bukoma is clear: when security returns, life returns with it. Modeste Kabori, Chief of the Bukoma Groupement, recognizes the restoration of security under AFC-M23 and calls upon the sons and daughters of Bukoma who remain displaced across the region to consider returning home and taking part in the rebuilding of their communities. Today, farmers are returning to their fields and cultivating their land without the fear and uncertainty that previously disrupted their livelihoods. Across Bukoma, agricultural activity is gaining momentum, with a growing variety of crops demonstrating the productive potential of the land. This is more than the revival of agriculture. It is the return of normal life. It is the return of hope. It is the return of communities to their land and to their future. North Kivu has the land. Its people have the determination. With security and stability, the province can transform its agricultural potential into food, livelihoods, and prosperity. The fields are being cultivated again. The people are returning. The future is being rebuilt.
