I voted last week for the bipartisan Ratepayer Protection Act (H.R. 9340), which I cosponsored and passed the House 417-3, to protect Colorado families from higher electric bills. Data centers should pay for the power and grid upgrades they require and not pass those costs on to working people, farmers, and small businesses. This bill puts the full incremental cost of new generation and transmission on the large load that created it, so everyday ratepayers are not held responsible.

On the other side of the aisle, DSA radicals want to seize the means of production. That means the government would take control of their farms. And it’ll be a cold day in hell when our farmers and ranchers vote for that.

While this may seem like a niche issue to some, it is very important to the cities and towns who asked us to put forward this bill on their behalf.
