We need term limits and a binding code of conduct and ethics for the U.S. Supreme Court. Justice Thomas has been on the bench almost as long as I’ve been alive — that’s not good government. There is no binding code of conduct or ethics for Justices of the Supreme Court — that’s dead wrong. Congress can and must do something about this, and I’m working to get it done.

I spoke with Ann, a single mom of two boys from Pembroke, who will see her family’s healthcare costs skyrocket to nearly $40,000 next year if Congress doesn’t take action. Totally unaffordable and unacceptable. That’s why I’m using every tool I’ve got to protect your healthcare and lower your costs.

This morning, the Senate voted 100–0 (unanimous!) to fund TSA, the Coast Guard, FEMA, and the remaining unfunded operations at DHS. But tonight Speaker Johnson is refusing to allow a vote on this commonsense, bipartisan bill in the House. Outrageous. Time to stop the political theater and get this done.

It is no coincidence that the fight to protect and defend our Constitution’s citizenship clause began in the Live Free of Die State of New Hampshire. Today, that case is before the United States Supreme Court. While our Constitution doesn’t always give us the gift of clarity, in the case of birthright citizenship, the 14th Amendment is clear: if you were born in America, you are an American citizen. Period.

162 years ago today, President Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address. In less than 300 words, he pointed the way for us to honor the patriots who have given their lives to America: by rededicating ourselves to the American idea of government of the People, by the People, and for the People. That’s what I’m working for here in Congress. 🇺🇸

It is after midnight, and the Speaker of the House just released a new bill that would reauthorize our intelligence community to conduct warrantless surveillance under Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act for the next 5 years. This is no way to govern. You deserve better.
