I’m proud to have held 17 public town halls this year — more than most members of Congress in the entire country — including our most recent one in Granby last week. It is long past time for my Republican colleagues to start doing the same!

I recognize these hearings are often viewed through a partisan lens. But the wholesale fraud & corruption occurring at DHS under Secretary Noem should offend every American, irrespective of one’s political affiliation.

Instead of banning Members of Congress from trading stocks, House Republicans are now pushing a bill creating new loopholes to keep this insidious practice going!

Trump has betrayed Ukraine, our Ukrainian allies, and our values as Americans. Disgraceful.

I said what I said.

House Republicans have cancelled votes for the next two months. The next scheduled vote after this Thursday? November 9th. Seriously.

BIG NEWS — My resolution proposing a Constitutional Amendment to OVERTURN Citizens United decision now has over 100 cosponsors! You can view the full list at: I’ll keep fighting to get it across the finish line!

I worked to expose the DOI’s no-bid contract on the Reflecting Pool earlier this year. And according to court filings, the Justice Department is now blaming the same contractor for construction flaws!

Tax cuts for billionaires, while gutting assistance programs for hard-working Americans. Unconscionable.

This morning, Republicans finally released their scheme to gut Medicaid and give tax cuts to billionaires. Within minutes, House Democrats convened to make clear this will not stand. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Under Republican control, the House has only been in session for 72 days this year. Literally just 26% of the calendar year. It is absurd.

Today, House Republicans adjourned the House for a 45-day recess. Seriously. When they shut down the government in two months — which they seem determined to do — the American people will be justified in asking why they wasted time instead of working on their behalf.

As I asked my House Republican colleagues at 3:00 am — why did they schedule a hearing on their reckless budget bill in the dead of the night? Because they can’t defend it.

Today I observed legal proceedings of children in immigration court in Denver. What I saw was a cruel, dystopian and fundamentally broken system. I’m grateful to the many legal and advocacy organizations, including RMIAN and others, working to change it — and helping our immigrant neighbors.

My resolution proposing a constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision now has 79 co-sponsors. You can view the full list at: I’ll keep fighting to get it across the finish line!

The House chamber was mostly empty. I’m unsure how many will ultimately hear it. But I spoke today to sound an alarm for our nation. To alert the country of the wholesale corruption engulfing our government & the work we must do end it. I hope my fellow Americans will listen.

The House of Representatives has held less than 12 voting days since August. Even the Russian Duma meets more often than the Republican-held U.S. House.

Less than 24 hours after we exposed the ludicrous details behind Secretary Noem’s $220 million taxpayer funded ad campaign, she was fired. My reaction on The Lead CNN.

214 House Democrats — and 4 House Republicans — have now signed the discharge petition to force a vote on extending the ACA tax credits for working families. Speaker Johnson must call the vote. Not next year. Not next month. TODAY.
