I recently sent a letter to Secretary Rubio urging the State Department to blacklist Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos, the Cuban regime's company that profits from the exploitation of Cuban doctors. Today, at the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I asked Ambassador Michael Kozak, the State Department's top official for the Western Hemisphere, to make it happen. The Cuban regime has built a business model on forced labor. Countries that profit from Cuba's medical missions are helping bankroll the dictatorship. It's time to blacklist this trafficking operation and stop rewarding modern-day slavery.

Trabajaron duro, aportaron a sus comunidades y siguieron las reglas. No deberían seguir viviendo pendientes de la próxima decisión de un tribunal o de otra extensión temporal. Como la principal impulsora republicana del American Dream and Promise Act, me enorgullece haber firmado la petición de descarga para llevar esta legislación al pleno de la Cámara de Representantes. Ya es hora de que el Congreso haga su trabajo y les dé a estas familias la certeza que se han ganado.

Lo dije mucho antes de los terremotos y lo vuelvo a decir: Venezuela no era un país seguro para regresar entonces, y mucho menos lo es hoy.
