For 20 years, a $6 knob that takes one hour to 3D print has been grounding Black Hawk helicopters four times a month, and the contractor responsible won't sell us the part or the IP rights to fix it ourselves. So instead, American taxpayers have been paying $40,000 every single time to replace the entire system, multiplied by four times a month, for two decades. That is NOT a procurement problem, that is a shakedown, and it is exactly why right to repair has to be in this year's NDAA.

Sergeant First Class Thomas J. Grasso, part of two Special Forces teams outnumbered 60 to 1, held off 2,000 Taliban fighters in Kunduz, Afghanistan for 130 hours straight. Yesterday, I sat before Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, The Joint Staff 🇺🇸, and Armed Services GOP, read his proposed citation into the record, and made the case that his Silver Star should be upgraded to a Medal of Honor. I know every word of that citation to be true, because I was one of the teammates he rescued from a near and complex ambush, which is only one of 14 distinct and selfless acts of valor performed by SFC Grasso during that mission.

The Berry Amendment is a federal law requiring the government to buy American made gear for our troops but nobody is enforcing it and Chinese manufacturers are winning contracts they should never have. I co-chaired the launch of the new bipartisan Berry Amendment Caucus to make sure the equipment defending this country is actually made in this country.

Democrat veterans telling active-duty troops to “refuse illegal orders” know exactly what they’re doing, and it is reckless. They cannot point to a single unlawful order from President Donald J. Trump, yet they’re willing to plant doubt in the chain of command and drag the military into their politics. Our service members deserve better than to be used as props by people who wore the same uniform and should know the damage this causes.

🚨 MAJOR UPDATE on the CCP inside our military bases: Since I introduced the Military Retail Security Act in April, Exiger—a top fraud and financial crime firm—confirmed that CCP-owned GNC has been misleading the American public. GNC claimed “Made in the USA” while importing over 100 million pounds from China. Their manufacturer committed tariff fraud. Their network was hacked. And they have access to sensitive data from our troops. This morning, I sent a formal letter to @Sec_Noem and the FDA demanding a FULL criminal investigation. I couldn’t believe this, The Real Story with Riley Lewis couldn’t believe it, and you shouldn’t either. The Chinese Communist Party owns GNC, and they’re operating OVER 80 storefronts on U.S. military bases. I introduced a bill to shut it down and keep our adversaries off American installations for good!
