So this just happened. Lara Logan has just come back from a visit to Moscow. She was flown in for the Bolshoi, she appeared on RT, and she recorded a propaganda 'interview' with Kirill Dmitriev. After returning, she hosted Jim Simpson on her podcast. Simpson was explaining the Golitsyn thesis, which argues that the fall of the Soviet Union was a staged deception and that modern Russia is the continuation of the same Soviet system. He was laying this out in detail and making it clear he believes the Soviet structure never actually collapsed. That is the moment when Lara suddenly cut him off and replaced his point with her own narrative about a spiritually renewed and fundamentally different Russia. Jeffrey Sachs praises the Chinese Communist Party’s governance system as "good governance" and "extremely effective", explicitly endorsing its Five-Year central planning system. He ridicules the US as chaotic, dismisses critics as "primitive", and repeatedly insists China is "not a threat".
