One of my favourite things about Gintama is slowly learning about Gintoki's tragic past and how much it impacted him, making him afraid of losing someone again. But Shinpachi made him realise he doesn't have to protect everyone and simply trust that his loved ones will survive.

I love how Kagura's two dads became so denial and overprotective over this boyfriend news 😭
