Asset mismanagement in Illinois is so much worse than people think. There are tens of thousands of empty buildings and vacant lots throughout the state - including nearly 10,000 in Chicago alone. These empty and abandoned properties generate no tax revenue, they only cost tax payers. This includes many school buildings that have been vacant for over a decade and now are deteriorated beyond recognition. There are huge concentrations of abandoned or foreclosed properties in Chicago's west and south sides where private investment is kept away by high taxes, crime, and overregulation. I can bring investment and development to this state (I'VE DONE THIS MY WHOLE LIFE) and we can start making hundreds of millions instead of costing ourselves hundreds of millions. Instead of poverty, we can build wealth in these areas. Enough talk - it's time to take action!
