Introducing a new plugin I'm developing: BLOX Brush! This plugin will basically allow you to resize & move parts by dragging on their face. Heavily inspired by an ancient Roblox game, I decided to make a fully working Portal Gun in Roblox! Unlike traditional Portal Guns that utilize ViewportFrames and lose resolution when getting close to a portal, and lacks any and all lighting data, this one cuts real holes into world geometry and stitches copies of the world into workspace, relative to the portals. EditableMesh helps a lot with making the "cut a infinitely thin hole into a wall" effect that the original Portal game does. Using some clever math, I can hide "Portal Worlds" when not viewing them directly through the portal, saving on performance and preventing clipping. It's sort of like StencilBuffers, except everything is rendered in real space instead of a separate camera. It's VERY VERY early, and very buggy, but I'm quite happy with the progress I've made on this so far, and will probably be the last thing I post before leaving tomorrow to go to California. The game that inspired me when I was a kid was "Real Portals" by ZeOBot. #Roblox #RobloxDev
