🔥Hot Take: Autonomous cars don't need speed limits and they do more harm than good to them. Tesla FSD already knows how to drive safely on a superhuman level and won't speed in a way that would be dangerous or reckless, ever. Speed limits only impose artificial limitations on the neural network which can result in annoying, or even dangerous situations. Here's the perfect example from Slovenia: The 40 km/h restriction ends, but Tesla FSD (Supervised) takes a while to catch up to 110 km/h on the highway. There's definitely room for improvement for Tesla Europe, Middle East & Africa so the car just reads speed limits better, but in my opinion speed limits themselves are an anti-pattern and the correct solution is just to let the neural net drive whatever speed it wants. But I am sure that's going to take another 50 years for the regulators to figure out. The best way to use FSD in Europe right now is to set the speed limit offset to +50 % and only lower it when you're afraid you'll get fined. I am willing to bet you that you won't ever need to lower it for safety reasons. And yes, that is the feature they want to take away from us. So short-sighted.

This is the WORST street for self-driving cars you could wish for. Tesla FSD crawls Aarhus at walking pace (as it should) and finishes the block. Even though we thought it went too slow at first, the comments from locals said walking speed is the point here. FSD naturally knew better than us.

Pan ministr dopravy Ivan Bednárik tvrdí, že o Tesla FSD v Česku se rozhoduje v Bruselu. Tak jsem tam letěl, abych zjistil pravdu. A mám pro něj skvělou zprávu: Brusel neblokuje vůbec nic!
