Hold onto your hats! 👒 It was a blustery morning at the Founder’s Day Parade in the grounds of Royal Hospital Chelsea, where The Queen reviewed troops on parade and delivered an address. 🫡 The Royal Hospital Chelsea is home to the Chelsea Pensioners, retired soldiers of the British Army. Since 1692, it has offered care, community and comradeship to veterans.

Our very special guests! 🧁☕️ The Queen has hosted a tea party for children supported by Dreams and Wishes, a charity dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families build precious memories. 🫖🥪 After travelling by horse-drawn carriage from The Royal Mews, the children sat down to sandwiches and cakes with Her Majesty at Clarence House. The Queen’s Equerry, Major Treasure, also set the children to task with a treasure hunt… leading to the stash of chocolate coins hidden under the Grenadier Guards’ hats! 💂 Dreams and Wishes was established in 2011 and is entirely volunteer-run, with a dedicated team committed to making every child’s wish a reality.

At Golders Green today, The King reaffirmed his support for the Jewish community, following a series of antisemitic attacks. During his time at the Jewish Care centre in North-West London, The King spoke to victims of the recent knife attack that took place in the area on 29th April 2026. His Majesty also met community police force, Shomrim, who were involved in responding to the attacks.

Celebrating America’s 250th birthday in Front Royal! 🇺🇸 It was a joy to join the town at their community block party – and to take part in the ‘potluck’. Their Majesties contribution was none other than… a Coronation Quiche! 🥧 ‘America’s Potluck’ is a 250th celebration initiative, which aims to bring neighbours together across the country to share a communal meal and build a sense of connection in their community. Having been welcomed to Washington DC by The President and First Lady of the United States, The King and Queen were shown the beehives in the White House gardens. 🐝 The White House beehives were first established in 2009, serving as an enduring feature of the grounds across multiple administrations and producing honey for the White House. In 2026, First Lady Melania Trump enhanced the existing White House honey program to include a hand-crafted hive, shaped in the form of the White House. During the summer, the hive is home to approximately 70,000 bees.

Milne As we mark the 100th anniversary of the beloved Winnie-the-Pooh stories, The Queen has presented a very special gift to the New York Public Library, reuniting baby Roo with his friends from the 100 Acre Wood. The Library is home to the original collection of toys owned by Christopher Robin Milne, son of A.A. Milne, which inspired the characters in the beloved Winnie-the-Pooh series. The collection is missing Roo, the baby kangaroo who was lost in an orchard in the 1930s. The new addition of Roo was created by Shropshire-based company Merrythought, who also created the original toys. 👀 Watch Roo’s great adventure travelling from Buckingham Palace onboard Their Majesties’ flight to his new home in New York.

🌱 Growing friendship and connection… Set against Strangford Lough, Ards Allotments was founded by owner Maurice after he was inspired by watching His Majesty, then Prince of Wales, visit an allotment on the news. 🥕 Today, The King visited Maurice and the other volunteers, gardeners and growers who use the space not only to grow fresh produce, but also to forge connections, boost wellbeing and share skills. 🎶 Thank you to Loughries Men’s Shed for the wonderful ukulele music!

A lively welcome to Belfast! 🎶🪕 Kicking off their annual visit to Northern Ireland, The King and Queen joined a showcase of music and culture at Thompson Dock in Belfast. Founded in 1951, The Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is widely regarded as the world’s largest annual festival of traditional Irish music, song and dance. This August, the Fleadh will come to Belfast for the first time. 🥃 The King and Queen also heard about Titanic Distillers’s whisky-making process. The distillery is housed within the restored Edwardian pumphouse that helped launch the famous ship.

In New York today, The King and Queen have paid their respects at the 9/11 Memorial. During their time at the site, Their Majesties honoured the lives that were lost during the attacks, and recognised the courage of the men and women involved in the rescue efforts. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks.

The King has spent time with the community in Newcastle, County Down, learning more about their local initiatives, including... 🎬Newcastle Community Cinema was founded in 2008 by a group of passionate local film lovers. Today, it sits at the heart of the town as a lively community hub, supporting activities ranging from sports groups to creative events. 🍞At Donard Methodist Church, His Majesty met volunteers who established The Pantry Foodbank more than a decade ago. ⛑️Finally, The King met residents and representatives from local organisations such as Mountain Rescue and RNLI.

This evening, The King and Queen attended a special viewing of ‘Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style’, ahead of what would have been The late Queen’s 100th birthday. As the largest exhibition of Her Majesty’s fashion ever staged, more than 200 items of clothing and accessories across all ten decades of The late Queen’s life are on display. The exhibition also includes never-before-seen archival material such as fashion sketches, fabric samples, and correspondence. ‘Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style’ is available to visit now and will run until 18th October 2026 at The King’s Gallery in London. Food waste can be delicious too! 🍫 An inspiring visit to The Warehouse in Newtownards to see the welcoming hub they provide to the community at times of need. ❤️ The charity offers free food supplies, hot meals, skills classes and access to clothing and household essentials. 👨🍳 The King joined volunteers in the kitchen as they prepared chocolate cake using surplus ingredients. 📖 Meanwhile, The Queen heard about creative projects, including a popular ‘Blind Date with a Book’ initiative.
