What a morally bankrupt administration. Trump’s Secretary Bessent blames Ukraine for high gas prices: “We are going through an energy shock right now due to the war in Ukraine… Ukraine has decided that they want to blow up Russian energy assets and refined products, so that is creating upward price pressure on a global basis.” What kind of person would put a blame on a victim who is fighting for its survival and not a single word against the aggressor? I still cannot believe people voted for this administration of complete moral bankruptcy.

I hope JD Vance watches this video. Yesterday, JD Vance complained that his 3-year-old daughter was scared by a group of protesters shouting “Slava Ukraini.” He even went so far as to call some of them “sh*t.” The hypocrisy in his statement is staggering. His and Trump’s actions are directly leading to Ukrainian children being killed daily by russian missiles and drones. Now, what would you call a person like that?! The girl in the video lost her leg due to a russian attack. Yet she continues to smile, she continues to live. She is a symbol of the unyielding strength of the Ukrainian people who are fighting pure evil.

Ukraine is writing the manual every military on earth will read for the next twenty years. Ukraine has done something no army has done before. A naval drone carried a combat robot to an occupied shoreline on the Kinburn Spit and put it on the beach. The machine – armed with a machine gun – went to work against russian positions, run remotely by operators of the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade. No one had to swim to that beach. No one had to die on it. Ground robots are not new. Naval drones are not new. What is new is the chain: an unmanned boat delivering an armed unmanned vehicle onto a defended shore and conducting an assault, with human beings nowhere near the fire. The Kinburn Spit is a sandbar. No cover, no easy resupply. The kind of place where a landing means paying in blood before you have accomplished anything at all. And Ukraine’s scarcest resource has never been courage or ammunition. It has been people. That is the point. Russia’s whole theory of victory rests on one arithmetic – that it can spend lives faster than Ukraine can. Every technology that substitutes machines for men attacks that assumption directly. The drone did it in the air. The naval drone did it at sea. Now it has come ashore. Innovation under pressure is not a luxury. It is the only thing a smaller nation has. Ukraine built this because it had neither resources nor time – and necessity is the most honest engineer there is. Everyone will copy it. Ukraine is not only fighting a war. It is writing the manual every military on earth will read for the next twenty years.

A few days ago, a russian official in Canada went viral after popping blue and yellow balloons hanging on a pole near the russian Embassy. Canadians took that personally. Now the entire pole is covered in blue and yellow balloons. This is absolutely brilliant. You pop two Ukrainian balloons, you get a hundred more. A perfect way to troll the russian embassy and remind those russian thugs that intimidation doesn’t work in a free world.

Yesterday in Wrocław, three Polish thugs beat up a Ukrainian couple - Nastia and Maksym. The men cut in front of Nastia and Maksym at the checkout. Nastia objected to their behavior. They heard she was Ukrainian, so they followed the couple to the car. Maksym went down first and they kicked him in the head. When Nastia tried to pull them off him, they punched her in the face and tore her ear open. Last week, a group of Poles broke a 19-year-old’s nose and injured his spine in the city center because he was speaking Ukrainian into his phone. This year alone, there were 180 hate crimes committed against Ukrainians in Poland. Those are only the reported crimes. Thousands are not reported. I am sick and tired of this. The level of xenophobia in Poland has turned the state into the most dangerous European country for Ukrainians to live in.

The video, from 2014, shows people in Donbas openly telling a journalist that the Ukrainian army is not shooting at them – that it is the DNR, essentially Russian-appointed puppets, who have been shelling the cities. Show it to anyone who continues to spread russian propaganda that “Ukrainians were bombing Donbas for eight years.”

The video shows Marco Rubio first saying that “Ukraine is not America’s war,” and then older video showing him explaining how “America promised to defend Ukraine in exchange for giving up its nuclear weapons.” Rubio has become a prime example of the MAGA cult mentality. He has compromised his own principles in order to follow the cult leader. Rubio is now wearing shoes that do not fit, yet he is too afraid to admit it.

This is brilliant. On November 20, russian general Sergey Kuzovlev reports to a russian führer, Putin, that Kupiansk is completely under russian control. On December 9, Putin awards Kuzovlev for “capturing” Kupiansk. On December 12, President Zelensky sends greetings to Ukrainian soldiers from Kupiansk. Sometimes, it feels like russians live in an alternative reality.
