I’ve been posting on X for 3 years now. “Run slow, it’s good for you.” I’m not gassing you up. It’s physiology, it’s facts. Staying at a low heart rate builds endurance. You also need to be a good athlete. Especially as you get older. Athletes lift weights and run fast. Develop power and speed. Put it together. Endurance plus athlete. Rack up hours of easy training. Run slow, forget about pace, trust the process. Lift heavy, move explosively. Rest. Repeat for months. Consistency above everything. You’re not slow. You’re not too old. You’re just getting started. Do the work and start believing in yourself. This is when the magic happens and you run the best race of your life.
