The University of Rwanda is one of five African institutions recognised by the Mastercard Foundation for advancing higher education across the continent. As an inaugural laureate of the Africa Higher Education for Transformation (AHEFT) Prize, University of Rwanda will receive USD 3 million to scale initiatives that expand opportunities for young Africans and strengthen pathways from education to meaningful employment. The University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor for Strategic Planning and Administration explains what led to this recognition.
