The amount of videos where Poles are spontaneously attacking Ukrainians is getting pretty ridiculous. But it also offers a sneak peek of the upcoming mass deportation of Ukrainian fighting age men from Poland and the rest of the EU. The laws are already in place, so Ukrainians getting beat up is just going to become institutionalized.

In February 22, 2022, two days before the start of the SMO, Ukraine's Azov Brigade in Mariupol was overjoyed about the coming war Ngl, it's a fun little video (made entirely in Russian). Nowadays, Ukrainians are weeping and moaning all the time... What's up with the vibe shift?

Good example of a competent infantry engagement in this war. Three Russian soldiers are attacking a Ukrainian strongpoint held by seven soldiers south of Orekhov (this is also the *scale* of the average infantry engagement in the SMO). The Russian assault team is supported by FPV drones. The Ukrainians lose a few KIA, the rest retreat, the strongpoint is taken, the fleeing survivors are attacked with drones. No casualties on the Russian side. Nothing spectacular, just very clean rifle-and-grenade work and well-organized drone support. The soldiers belong to the 417th Recon Battalion, 42nd Guards Motor Rifle Division (nicknamed "Steel Division" after their heroic defensive actions around Rabotino during the 2023 Ukrainian offensive). I'm told there's GoPro footage of this engagement, too, so maybe we'll see that later.

Russian state media leaked audio recordings of the Ukrainian intelligence agent who is charged with murdering the woman who blew up that Ukrainian oligarch in Monaco (Vitaly Zhikovich; the woman was, of course, also an SBU agent, though probably not an "official" intelligence officer). On these recordings, among other things, he calmly refers to his own work as "terrorism", talks about Israeli software that Mossad shared with the SBU, explains how much he loves his work (including assassinations), mentions that they have specific orders from Zelensky to cause civilian casualties during attacks, and talks about a plot to murder a Dagestani official by enlisting local Islamists (the assassination plot was thwarted by the FSB, and the Dagestani official is on the Ukrainian hit list because he's an SMO war hero). The recordings were clearly obtained by Russian intelligence originally, and I have suspected some recent Russian intelligence coup against the SBU for a while now, partly due to how badly Operation Spider Web 2.0 failed (I don't think I've mentioned that on here? They caught several trucks with drones in Siberia, arrested a bunch of people involved with it, etc. Basically the plan was the same as the original Operation Spider Web -- smuggle drone parts into Russia and attack air bases through perfidy -- only this time they were discovered and neutralized). Looks like there's been some SIGINT penetration, somebody flipped, or the SBU just got sloppy.

A Russian "Pantsir" decoy. These air defence systems are quite important and putting effort into the decoys (radar that actually moves, realistic thermal signature) is a good way of preserving them. Several of these decoys have been hit by Ukrainian drones recently.

The Ka-52 is a beautiful machine and has been performing extremely well. It's doctrinal role has changed from assault to defense but it's still extremely good at killing enemy armor (and drone-hunting) and has great survivability. Not surprising the Chinese want it

FPV drone footage shared by Iraqi militias, showing strikes against a AN/MPQ-64 Sentinel radar and a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter at Camp Victory in Baghdad. Hard to tell how badly the chopper was hit. In any case, first visual confirmation of FPV hits on US combat assets.
