Patrick Kane, after scoring the tying goal in a wild 3 goal comeback, takes one of the most needless, stupid penalties I've ever seen late in the 3rd period, leading to a Minnesota goal & a regulation loss for Detroit with their season on the line. Can't believe it. #LGRW

Roger Goodell would've publicly executed a player at the 50 yard line if this hit was laid on Mahomes.

MBN the wrecking ball. #LGRW

Matt Rempe 0.0000001 seconds after being called back up to the NHL:

I love that it was Dylan Larkin being the one to go to refs about gold medal teammate Brady Tkachuk jawing at Edvinsson in the box, ending up with the misconduct for Brady.

I maintain that the NHL should allow players to break the rules if it's really funny

Tonight's #LGRW game recap: What a STUPID way to lose a hockey game. There's more to this loss than the missed call, but the refs not calling the easiest high-stick they'll see all year absolutely robbed Detroit of a point. Gut punch as the Red Wings drop both to CBJ in reg.

Lucas Raymond with 2 assists (one to Petterson 👀) and this FILTHY goal in Sweden's win. Unfortunately also took a terrible penalty after which led to a Slovakia goal. 😬 Now Slovakia wins the group if Finland beats Italy in regulation.

Mickey: "Oh you gotta be kidding me, that's a generous icing call." Ken: "Oh boy, Mick's been off for a month. Get ready you men in stripes, it's been a while!" Mick: "Get it right!" lmao missed these two. #LGRW

If this is a holding penalty then I want the Boston overtime winner overturned, brutal officiating. Lalonde furious for good reason. Ref fooled like a baby playing peekaboo. #LGRW

Sam Bennett when he sees a goalie in the crease

Boston handling their first regulation loss with all the class & grace you'd expect a Brad Marchand captained team to show.

*Ken reads an ad for Star Wars night* Mickey: "'May the Force be with you'...who said that?" Ken: "...Star Wars." Mickey: "One of those guys?" Ken: "Yes." Mickey: "R2D2, is he a Star War?" Midseason form lmao, Mick is a national treasure.

"He's definitely got a high-pitched voice right now." Mickey Redmond with a classic on his birthday lmao

Chiarot, Seider have some words with Eriksson Ek in response to this hit on Kane earlier on. #LGRW

Datsyuk-coded

MBN more great physical play, sitting Luke Hughes down with the reverse hit. #LGRW

In back to back games against strong opponents Detroit goes down 2-0 in the 1st. Both times, McLellan's team locked in, dug deep, & mounted the kind of resilient comebacks that would've seemed impossible not long ago. 4 points instead of 0. The Detroit Red Wings, man. #LGRW

If someone turns me around while I have no stick then picks the corner through my legs, I'm immediately going into a self- imposed exile like Bruce Wayne. Disgusting.

Nathan MacKinnon expresses his love for the Red Wings Centennial uniform, politely asks Alex DeBrincat if he can have one of his throwback brown leather gloves. #LGRW

Ken Daniels confirms that since his interview on the latest Winged Wheel Podcast where he said he wants to be called "Joe-HAN-son" like Albert, Anton has since changed his mind & wants it pronounced "YO-han-son". Non-zero chance he's messing with us but "YO-han-son" it is lol. #LGRW

Bedard high sticks Seider, apologizes and checks to make sure he's okay, and Mo gives him the "all good". #LGRW #Blackhawks

Really cool moment as Sergei Fedorov embraces Vladimir Konstantinov in celebrating his Russian 5 compatriots. #LGRW

Michael Rasmussen hurt after this hit to the head by Trevor Zegras. No call on the play. Rasmussen to the dressing room. #LGRW

Still laughing at this being a 2 minute minor. Literally no easier scenario for a referee to call a deserving major than this one: offending team has already run away with the game + unprovoked cross-check breaking a stick over his back. Ridiculous lol.

"Leaving Detroit when I did was a huge mistake. That is on me." -Sergei Fedorov #LGRW #Retire91

"What the FUCK is goaltender interference?!" - Derek Lalonde, man of the people

Simon Edvinsson limping after Logan Cooley cross-checks him on the knee. Simon back on the bench after getting some attention from the trainers. No call on the play. #LGRW

SHOWTIME! 🎬 PATRICK KANE OVERTIME WINNER IN CHICAGO. 🚨 LIKE IT WAS SCRIPTED. #LGRW

Stop me if you've heard this one before: no call on this high-stick on Larkin. #LGRW

BENCHES CLEAR AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN Quick takes exception to Appleton shooting at the empty net after the horn and goes after him - Red Wings & Rangers benches both empty onto the ice for a little post-game scuffle. Old time hockey. #LGRW

Alex DeBrincat drops the gloves & takes down Roman Josi. I'm not kidding. #LGRW

Danforth drags his stick across Edvinsson's face, takes the puck and scores. Refs somehow missed it. EGREGIOUS high stick. What a joke. #LGRW

Klim Kostin levels Cole Sillinger then drops the gloves with Erik Gudbranson. Great hit, great tilt. #LGRW

Eyssimont gets his stick up in a cross-check to Edvinsson's head, Simon retaliates and drags him down, scrum ensues and Detroit gets the only penalty. Mind numbing stuff, especially frustrating after Kastelic's instigating going uncalled last game. #LGRW

The new Detroit Red Wings goal song: "Without Me" - Eminem. It's perfect. #LGRW
