Flour, yeast, salt. You don’t need much. And the hearty warmth of a hot clay oven. Then you have bread. The most important food staple for Palestinians. Support: At the peak of the famine, men, women, and children were all risking their lives to travel to aid distribution sites to collect just a little flour, enough to feed their families for a day. We saw 25kg bags being sold for $3,000 each. People lost limbs and lives to get wheat flour to help their families live another day. And now The Sameer Project will provide this service, making and giving out leaves of bread, of course for free. People don’t even have the 3 shekels required for a bag of bread. Help us bake it and distribute it for free! Donate to our Rebuild Gaza link to assist: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food")

How many sandwiches can you help provide today? Donate here: Every day, The Sameer Project kitchen is working to keep families fed in conditions where access to food is still extremely limited. The daily operational cost is around $8,500-$9,000 - covering ingredients, cooking, packaging, and distribution so meals can reach those who are hungry and malnourished. Each sandwich costs less than $3 to prepare and distribute - like the kofta sandwiches you see here! A full day at capacity can produce 3,000 sandwiches to be given out to hungry families in need of assistance. Even a small contribution is a meal for a child, a parent, and elder, someone who didn’t know where their next food would come from. To donate is to help keep the kitchen running…give to our Food and Water Campaign: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food")

Our littlest residents in Sawarha Camp kicked off our Eid celebrations! The joy of children on the first day of Eid al-Fitr is evident as they danced and played, feeling the celebratory atmosphere for the first time in 3 years. Despite the backdrop of being internally displaced, living in a camp, still facing scarcity, for at least this moment there is happiness and hope. And The Sameer Project is thankful to be a part of these special moments, this renewal of energy, strengthening of community, as the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end. Than you for your continued support and we still have more activities planned through the weekend! Donate to our Ramadan and Eid Campaign. Palestinians in Gaza want to go back to their homes in the North. Demolished or not is irrelevant. The people want to be in their neighborhoods around their family and friends. They find solace and comfort in the familiar and with an ongoing genocide, the least we can do is provide that. For the families in the South to move back to the North, there needs to be water and food. Unfortunately mutual aid groups are struggling to collect funds and international aid organizations are nowhere to be seen. Support the North campaign for water distributions: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "North aid") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "North aid")

Woman are having babies under the most stressful conditions, in tents, while displaced, no prenatal or post birth care. We get hundreds of requests per day for diapers, baby formula, and for clothing to keep them warm, particularly after mass evacuations when they have to leave all belongings behind. Help assist them: We recently did a distribution of packages in the North to support newborns, babies, toddlers, and relieve the stress of care from their mothers. Since all new mothers are in the same position we went to the source and visited maternity wards in hospitals to reach a large number of families in need. The Sameer Project team distributed 40 packages to Al Sahaba hospital, and 45 packages to Asdiqaa Almareed Hospital. Each contained baby onesie sets and diapers. We also gave 38 tracksuit sets to Al Kateeba Camp and 29 sets randomly for children 1-2 years old and diapers as well. To save on cash withdrawal commission, we were able to pay for the diapers through electronic wallet transfer at 10% and purchase the remaining baby clothes and track suits at 30% commission fee. The diapers came out to be 2,805 shekels while the clothing was 9,191 shekels, making the entire cost of assisting all the babies approximately $3,255. Please donate to the north so we can continue supporting Gazas most vulnerable population in infants and supporting mothers who should be celebrating the most joyous times of their lives. Contribute to the North campaign.

The storm front has arrived, the rain has started tonight in Gaza. God protect all those who are displaced in tents, in makeshift shelters, in collapsing buildings. 🔉🔉Volume Up. This is the current situation at our Sawarha Camp in Central Gaza. Where you can see the lightning and hear the thunder. We pray for everyone in Gaza tonight.

These were the first few moments of unadulterated childhood happiness when the first rainstorm of the season hit and kids were running through the streets playing in the puddles. Innocence meets youthful ignorance, unaware of the serious repercussions and problems this first storm would bring. It was a heavy and pounding storm, ushering the Winter months in with a bang. This year, everyone in Gaza was praying the rain would be delayed, hold off until the promised shelter entered the Strip, but unfortunately that was not the case. The rain fell, hard, and with it makeshift shelter were swept away in the winds, families were soaked, food supplies kept in the tents ruined, and more loss incurred. The rains have subsided today in Gaza, but this storm was a warning of what is to come and how much work we have to do. Donate to the “Give Warmth to Gaza” initiative in our Return Home Campaign. Believe your own eyes!!! It took 22 months for international bodies to recognize a famine in Gaza. Nearly 23 months for some to “officially” declare a genocide. And now we are watching Israel ethically cleanse the North. We cannot wait for anyone to tell us what’s happening, listen to those in Gaza, you are witnessing it on your screens. No one can ever say they didn’t know. Now is the time to act. No more waiting. We need you. Please help families in Gaza through our Displacement Response Campaign. Here we go. The first heavy rains of the winter season in Gaza. In Islam, as in many religions and cultures, rain is something we pray for, it’s a symbol of life - an essential need, leading to bountiful growth, mercy after barrenness, purification, new beginnings, hope. But in Gaza, families have been terrified of this moment, praying that the rain holds off. Makeshift tents and destroyed open structures will not make it through a winter storm. Images are already coming in showing flooded streets, torn tents, children running barefoot through the storm surge of waste and garbage. Now is the time to act. Donate to our Return Home Campaign which we are readying to become our main fundraiser link to support families this winter. Please give to Gaza now. The genocide in Gaza continues and the need for water is as high as ever! We continue to gradually expand our water delivery efforts in North Gaza to each more areas. Yesterday, we managed to deliver another 64000 liters of fresh water, bringing our total so far close to 7.5 million liters. Thank you to everyone who continues to support us at the Translating Falasteen Translating Falasteen (Palestine) x The Sameer Project North Campaign. None of this would be possible without your help: (For Donations, we are a putting preference on our Paypal and Venmo options right now so that we get the payout quicker and can thus continue to maintain our current level of operations. We will switch the order of the links again once that has been cleared.) The pain, the indignity imposed, the lengths that individuals have to go to in order to provide for their families. This man had to crawl daily on two broken legs, set with titanium plates and external fixators, just to find a way to provide for his family. The genocide has stripped a lot from the people of Gaza, but what the occupation will NEVER take away is the will, determination, and faith of the Palestinian people. The Sameer Project had to help, we had to return dignity and agency back to this man who deserves so much more. Wheelchairs are impossible to find, but we were able to source this adult size one for 1,800 shekels in cash, which means after 45% withdrawal commission we paid nearly $775. We also provided a large food parcel for 350 shekels, so $114 after 10% bank transfer fees. And then the very next day, another member of our team randomly spotted the man using his new wheelchair in the street. This is an example of how your donations create immense and immediate impact on people’s lives. continue to contribute to the Medical Campaign. We’ve been busy lately! Busy sourcing and setting up tents in encampments filled with makeshift shelters that wouldn’t remain standing through the next storm. Over the last two weeks, The Sameer Project purchased 40 large waterproof tents and set up 20 so far for families in the most dire conditions. The pure joy you see on the face of the children is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. Celebrating a simple tent. While we do everything we can to provide these moments of relief, it’s of course necessary to remember that these families have lost absolutely everything and have been displaced countless times. We will keep screaming for a ceasefire so that this nightmare ends. And keep assisting families that need our support! Contribute to our South: Tents, Cash Aid, and Medical campaign so that we can continue to provide shelter and comfort for displaced families:

The struggle to collect one single sip of drinking water. Lines and walking long distances, children and the elderly, fighting through hardships for survival. This is the water situation in the North. Municipality infrastructure is gone, 70% of incoming water provided to the Strip has been cut, and the occupation’s destruction of desalinization plants has left the population reliant on the services of trucks bringing in purified water to their neighborhoods. The situation continues to deteriorate in Northern Gaza as all necessities are running out. The Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x The Sameer Project team has provided bread in Jabalia nearly every single day for well over 3 months, but yesterday, we ran out of flour. This is how precarious the situation is, when simple flour is not available. We will be back on track tomorrow. In sha’Allah, but in the meantime we provided 89,000 liters of fresh drinking water to… Gaza City: • Al Zawyea Street in al-Zaytoun – 1st truck: 7,000 liters, 2nd truck: 5,000 liters • al-Thalathini street in Al Sabra in Al Daraj – 5,000 liters • Al Samer area in Al Daraj – 4,000 liters • Falasteen Junction in al-Rimal – 7,000 liters • Al Nadeem Street in Al Zaweya Area in Al-Zaytoun – 4,000 liters • Bakron Street in Al Samer area in Al Daraj – 4,000 liters • Al Karama area – 5,000 liters • Tal Al Hawa – 5,000 liters • Salahaldin area in al-Zaytoun – 5,000 liters • Al-Shati’ Refugee Camp – Area 1: 6,000 liters, Area 2: 6,000 liters • Al Rimal El Shamali area – 6,000 liters Jabalia: • Alkholafaa area in Jablia Camp – 5,000 liters • Abu Hussien School Area in Jablia – 5,000 liters • Center of Jabalia Camp – 5,000 liters • Falasteen School Area in Jablia – 5,000 liters We really need your assistance to support the North. We need your help to scale up rather than cut back ✊🏼🍉. Every day Palestinians in Gaza think about where to get food from, where to find water - but few think about the men who wake up every day to clean the streets, remove garbage, and prevent disease from spreading in a place where the occupation has systematically destroyed sanitation infrastructure and waste management systems. Donate now: Their work is exhausting. The piles of waste grow larger, resources are scarce, and the conditions become more dangerous by the day. Yet they continue because they believe that cleanliness is part of faith, part of dignity, and part of caring for their community. These sanitation workers are often unseen and rarely thanked. But Gaza would not function without them. As part of our Eid meat distribution in Gaza City, Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project made sure to visit and honor the sanitation crews who continue serving their people under impossible circumstances. Alongside the distribution of 200 kilograms of meat, we wanted to recognize the dedication, sacrifice, and humanity of those who work tirelessly to keep their neighborhoods clean and livable. The full 200 kilograms of meat distributed cost $3,257 after fees and commissions. These workers preserve dignity, protecting public health, and continuing to serve our people despite all obstacles. Give them a thanks in the comments and continent to donate to our Food and Water Campaign: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food")

It was the last few days of Ramadan. Families had plans to gather and celebrate, but the ceasefire abruptly and violently ended a week prior. This is when 14 year old Hassan was injured with stray shrapnel that pierced through his skull and into his brain and eye. Help with his care: Hassan’s treatment is not available in Gaza. Like so many others he awaits evacuation with a referral report grading his condition as “emergency.” But with ongoing evacuation orders and incessant bombings it’s been weeks since the last medical evacuation, and the World Health Organization has yet to contact Hassan regarding treatment abroad. Hassan and his family have been living at our Refaat Alareer Camp and receiving medical treatment including physiotherapy, wound cleaning, and symptom management for his eye. He has seen specialists at every hospital in the North and the South and The Sameer Project team is doing everything to keep him calm and comfortable and manage his pain. Medical evacuations are nuanced, rare, and so difficult. We need to allow patients to receive lifesaving care outside of Gaza’s destroyed medical system. In the meantime The Sameer Project continues to support many of these patients who are waiting, who are suffering. Help us by contributing to the Camp link. We had 35 water trucks, varying in sizes from 3,000 liters to 15,000 liters, dispatch in one day!! Water, a fundamental human right under international law, is being withheld and weaponized to make the population in the North suffer. We are trying to provide even more water each and every day to alleviate some of this misery. On September 2, Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x The Sameer Project supplied 221,000 liters of drinking water to… Gaza City: • al-Sahaba in al-Daraj – 3,000 liters • al-Yarmouk area in al-Daraj – 3,000 liters • al-Tabien camp in al-Daraj – 3,000 liters • al-Samer area in al-Daraj – 3,000 liters • al-Mustaqbal School area in al-Samer – 6,000 liters • al-Taawon Camp in al-Daraj – 6,000 liters • Yaffa Street in al-Daraj – 6,000 liters • al-Maznaz area in al-Nasr – 6,000 liters • Carrefour in Tal Al Hawa – 5,000 liters • al-Samer junction in al-Samer – 5,000 liters • al-Barbari station in Tal Al Hawa – 5,000 liters • Council of Ministers area in Tal Al Hawa – 30,000 liters (Truck 1: 15,000, Truck 2: 15,000) • Al-Ghorfa al-Tijariyya area in al-Samer – 7,000 liters • Souq Firas in al-Samer – 5,000 liters • Jisr al-Amal Camp in Tal Al Hawa – 5,000 liters • Al Quds Hospital area in Tal Al Hawa – 20,000 liters (Truck 1: 15,000, Truck 2: 5,000) • Al-Rayyes area in Tal Al Hawa – 5,000 liters • Dawwar Al Malia in Tal Al Hawa – 15,000 liters • Public Service area in al-Samer – 7,000 liters • Sheikh Radwan – 12,000 liters (Truck 1: 6,000, Truck 2: 6,000) • al-Nasr neighborhood – 12,000 liters (Truck 1: 6,000, Truck 2: 6,000) • al-Rimal neighborhood – 6,000 liters • al-Karama area – 6,000 liters • al-Mukhabarat Street – 5,000 liters • Ministry of Detainees area – 5,000 liters • al-Nasr Street – 5,000 liters • al-Mushtal camp in al-Daraj – 5,000 liters • al-Emadi area – 5,000 liters • Universities Street – 5,000 liters • Al-Shati’ Refugee Camp – 10,000 liters (Truck 1: 5,000, Truck 2: 5,000) We need your help by supporting our North Campaign.
