An emotional day for The Sameer Project team when we opened the desalination plant on September 10th! Support our work: After long hours of tears and sweat, we managed to open a desalination plant that provides a new source of clean water in Gaza. With God’s grace and your material support, we were able to do it. This desalination plant will help us save costs on providing water and we will also provide our partner organizations with free water to distribute. Working in community is a key pillar of The Sameer Project. So this is not our success, this is the success of mutual aid groups in Gaza. To operate the plant, we will need around $1,500 per day and we will be able to produce at least 150,000 liters of fresh water with that. The Sameer Project still needs your support to operate the desalination plant so please commit to a small amount monthly to sustain this important work. We are back and ready to make delicious and nutritious food for Palestinians in Gaza! Support us here: The Sameer Project started a monthly donation campaign to create some predictability and consistency that allowed us to reopen our kitchen. However, we didn’t make enough to operate at full capacity! Right now, The Sameer Project kitchen is operating only four days a week instead of seven, and making only 1,600 meals daily instead of 3,000. The genocide in Gaza didn’t end so we should be giving the maximum support and only you can make this happen. Plan a fundraiser, send a mass email, stick flyers in your area, and do what you can to help us get more monthly donors. We created a booklet to make this easier for you with email and flyer templates- you can find it in our linktree in bio. This morning, there were quadcopters shooting at children in Beit Lahia! During our water distributions, these kids were pushing their jerrycans in a trolley when a quadcopter started shooting at them. The military occupation is constantly targeting Palestinian children in Gaza. This is beyond horrific yet it’s STILL happening, almost for three years now. There is no ceasefire, there was never a ceasefire. The genocide in Gaza needs to end! The children made it out of there safely, and so did the rest of the people collecting water. A big thank you to our team on the ground that continues to provide water daily in one of the most dangerous parts of the Gaza Strip. Support our water distributions in North Gaza through the Food & Water Campaign today: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

Gaza’s water crisis is already catastrophic. Now when, out of complete necessity due to the lack of funding, The Sameer Project is forced to stop our water distributions, it will become unimaginable for the families who depend on us. In the brutal summer heat, water is survival. And without enough donations, we cannot keep bringing it to the communities that need it. Please help Gaza through this manufactured suffering caused by the occupation. Donate to our Food and Water Campaign. The Sameer Project desalination plant is now open 🎉🥳 Support here: Five months of planning, searching, installing, testing and so much more to finally be able to operate today. This wouldn’t have been possible with this incredible community, without YOU! With multiple desalination plants bombed and huge water scarcity in the Gaza Strip, you have allowed The Sameer Project to now create a new source of fresh water. We expect to produce 150,000 to 200,000 liters of clean water daily. All water from the station will be provided 100% free of charge to displaced families and residents. The station is also open to our partners and other organizations wishing to collect water and distribute it through their own operations, at no cost, subject to prior arrangement and coordination with our team so that collection can be scheduled properly alongside daily community distribution. We built the station as a shared resource for the response in Gaza City, not for our own distributions alone. Collective work is what we need towards liberation. Support the operational costs for the desalination plant by giving to our Food & Water Campaign today: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

"I send a message to the whole world to stand by me and every Palestinian hostage" Imagine losing a leg and then getting imprisoned and then losing your eyesight. That’s what happened to Mahmoud Abu Foul at the age of 28. He was abducted from Kamal Adwan hospital on December 27th and endured 8 months of brutal torture, beatings and humiliation. Mahmoud like many other returned hostages isn’t getting the proper medical care and can’t get a prosthetic leg as it is not available in Gaza. Borders need to open for doctors and field hospitals to provide adequate treatment. Till then, The Sameer Project are providing medical care through our Sawarha medical point and medical treatment camp to Mahmoud and others like him. Meanwhile, we gave Mahmoud dressings and medications worth $68 and cash aid. We are looking to support the released hostages with medical and mental health care. Please support and donate to the medical campaign through our Chuffed link: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Medical") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Medical")

Less money for more water. That’s what we’re working on achieving at The Sameer Project through partnerships and finishing our desalination plant. Help us now: We managed to provide 430,000 liters for $4,845 instead of $6,300 by getting more free water from our partners at MSF. We are also working on getting subsidized fuel to further lower the trucking costs, and the desalination plant will also help provide more water for less money. When you donate to The Sameer Project, we know that you want maximum support to Palestinians in Gaza, and we do everything we can to provide it. Our strategy is the most amount of aid for the least amount of money! Your dollar goes a long way with The Sameer Project. The Sameer Project doesn’t just provide aid in Gaza. It provides aid to areas no one reaches. It goes to areas near the yellow line where no other aid group would go. Help here: Our water distributions cover areas near the yellow line with hundreds of families. When we decided to pause, The Sameer Project was going to stop all water distributions till we get back on track with funding but our team on the ground refused. They told us that some camps will literally have zero water in the hottest time of the year. This is why we went into debt and continued to distribute water knowing that our community will rise and provide support. During the pause, with God’s blessing we are able to provide 185,000 liters to the camps most in need. Help us give consistently and with predictability through the Food & Water Campaign: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

THE SAMEER PROJECT IS OPEN AGAIN!!! We are at 20% monthly donations, and we got enough to get us started again but NOT enough to sustain us long term, help here: If you’re a monthly donor to The Sameer Project, please try to get 3 friends / family to sign up too - even if it’s only for $5 a month. The Sameer Project kitchen is open for only four days a week at 50% capacity per day. That is 6,400 meals per week instead of the 21,000 that we could be making. But food in genocide is expensive and we need your help. Palestinians in Gaza are exhausted from lentils and rice. This is why The Sameer Project kitchen provides nutritious meals that include meat or chicken, rice and vegetables, with lots of yummy spices. If you give monthly to our Food & Water Campaign, we would be able to increase amount of meals. Each meal costs $3 so please support now: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food")

Medication that has been available for free at our Tawbah Clinic is not always available at other medical points in Gaza - and when it is available, it certainly is not always free. For patients with chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension, consistency is everything. Medication cannot be available this week and disappear the next. Treatment cannot depend on whether The Sameer Project has funding that month. Consistent treatment. Medications kept in stock. Zero charge to the patient. This is what chronic disease care must look like during a genocide. These patients have endured enough. They should not also have to wonder where their next month of medication will come from while an untreated condition steadily deteriorates into an emergency. It costs us approximately $2,050 every single day to operate Tawbah and provide the medications, supplies, staff, and services our patients rely on. They don't need treatment for just today. They need the certainty that their treatment will still be there tomorrow, next week, and next month. That requires consistent funding. Become a monthly donor. Help us keep Tawbah stocked, free, and there for the patients who depend on it. Sign up in the Medical Campaign in our bio. Our team occasionally send us videos of specific tough cases and this one broke our hearts. A single mom with her mentally ill mother and three children, with no shelter or any basic needs provided. Support her case here: With a pack of diapers costing over $28 and a can of milk costing $11, families like this can’t afford to cover the basics for their baby. In addition, people with mental illness struggle a lot in the genocide with no care or support provided. Unfortunately, families like these are invisible to large organizations and supporters through social media. In the famine, the first people who pay the price are these invisible families with no access to any support or/and who suffer from chronic illnesses / mental illnesses, and/or those pregnant or with babies, etc. We will provide support to this family and other families in similar situations. Please donate to the South campaign to support such cases: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "South aid") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "South aid")

It was the last few days of Ramadan. Families had plans to gather and celebrate, but the ceasefire abruptly and violently ended a week prior. This is when 14 year old Hassan was injured with stray shrapnel that pierced through his skull and into his brain and eye. Help with his care: Hassan’s treatment is not available in Gaza. Like so many others he awaits evacuation with a referral report grading his condition as “emergency.” But with ongoing evacuation orders and incessant bombings it’s been weeks since the last medical evacuation, and the World Health Organization has yet to contact Hassan regarding treatment abroad. Hassan and his family have been living at our Refaat Alareer Camp and receiving medical treatment including physiotherapy, wound cleaning, and symptom management for his eye. He has seen specialists at every hospital in the North and the South and The Sameer Project team is doing everything to keep him calm and comfortable and manage his pain. Medical evacuations are nuanced, rare, and so difficult. We need to allow patients to receive lifesaving care outside of Gaza’s destroyed medical system. In the meantime The Sameer Project continues to support many of these patients who are waiting, who are suffering. Help us by contributing to the Camp link. We are failing Palestinians in Gaza. We are not doing enough. We are not supporting enough. Help here: The Sameer Project increased water by 30,000 liters per day this week reaching 215,000 liters. The camps we went back to after two weeks of absence were furious as they struggled massively without water. 215,000 liters is low. We can do more. The Sameer Project has the ability to scale up to half a million liters overnight. All we need is funding. Monthly donations for the Food & Water Campaign are only at 19%, so we can’t plan ahead for September for a large increase. A big challenge that Palestinians in Gaza face is the lack of hygiene products forcing them to use water from the sea and sand to wash their plates and clothes. HELP: The salty sea water that is full of sewage … Most people can’t afford to buy hygiene products as they are trying to survive and purchase food and water. This is why at The Sameer Project, we regularly provide hygiene packages to underserved displacement camps. On April 12th, The Sameer Project gave the Manshia Camp 43 hygiene packages with a broom, shampoo, detergent, washing liquid and more. Total cost was $1,614, including 11% commission that is used to get money into Gaza. Support our Shelter, Goods & Activities Campaign today. Remember the sweet boy with a big smile. The Sameer Project team in the South got him and his family a tent and mattresses thanks to your generous support. Donate here: Khan Younis is now no longer accessible to the Sameer Project team due to the displacement map release today dividing the South from the Central area. This is disastrous as around half a million people are trapped in Khan Younis. For the time being, the Sameer Project will set up tents in the Central area where a lot of displaced people are with no shelter or tents in bad condition. Each tent costs $384 with 7% commission. Please donate to the South campaign for more tent distributions: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "South aid") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "South aid")

يا ميسر لا تعسر 🤲🏽 With God’s grace, we were able to reopen The Sameer Project bakery this week. Unfortunately, we didn’t reach our goal with monthly donors so we still need your help to not have to close our bakery again. Convince someone you know to become a monthly donor today: The Sameer Project bakery makes 500 bags of bread a day so around 5,000 loaves. The daily cost is around $1,000 and we open six days a week. For just $2 a month, you can help get a bag of bread and for $20 a month you help us get 20 bags of bread. Posting these videos fill us with rage and frustration. You would think that the bare minimum that Palestinians would get after three years in genocide is food and water but even that is not secured. The Sameer Project never planned to pause. Never wanted to pause. But sadly here we are. Please help now: We reduced our water distributions from 430,000 liters down to 185,000 liters. This is in August, the hottest month of the year. All we need is $15 for every 1,000 liters and we can do a MILLION liters daily. We can scale up. We have the team. We have the processes. We are part of the WASH cluster. We just need the funds. Give monthly to our Food & Water Campaign to help us give out more water in Gaza: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

This Tuesday is going to be the hottest day yet since last summer. HELP: This means long lines for water, dehydration, thirst, and alot of people coming back to their tents empty handed, empty containers, because water trucks will have run out. Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project needs you monetary solidarity to keep up with the demand. On May 1 we provided 317,000 to neighborhoods in the North - help us keep this up… Contribute to the Food and Water fundraising campaign in our bio to help us get ready for these hot summer months. As a parent what would you do if you couldn’t feed your children? Watching them starve, crying for food, as your own empty stomach gnaws at you. HELP: Children in Gaza are still malnourished, still starving, a famine still underway. Aid trucks are still just trickling in, no where near as many as necessary to feed a besieged population. The Sameer Project team visited Preparatory School C in Deir al-Balah area to deliver meals to the entire school that was transformed into a family shelter. We distributed 500 spiced rice meals with vegetables, each one costing a little less than $6. The entire sheltered distribution on September 21 cost $3,199. Every donation, any amount, has an impact. For just $6 you can help a parent feed their children, fending off starvation for another day. Donate to the South Campaign to give food.
