I have to be honest... I think Digger is a masterpiece. It’s a genre defying farce that feels like it was made in the future as a warning to those of us living in the present. I think the general public will understand this film far better five years from now. Digger

When this scene plays on reopening night at the Cinerama Dome in 70MM, the audience reaction will be insane! I expect a standing ovation and cheering.

RIP Barbara Ling, production designer of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Michael, The Doors, and many more films. She brilliantly transformed 2018 Los Angeles into 1969. IMO, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has the best production design of any movie set in LA.

This is the first IMAX theater and movie Tiger Child playing at Expo 1970 Osaka. It was an inflatable dome structure sponsored by Fuji as an experimental art project to showcase the new 15/70mm tech.

The conversion of the HISTORIC TCL Chinese Theatres into IMAX back in 2013. This was a VERY controversial move at the time. Anyone go before the changes?

I can't wait to watch This Is Cinerama (1952) at the Cinerama Dome. It's a documentary made to showcase the new format to the public, and it required three projectionists working in sync. I've never seen it, but many Cinerama filmmakers and historians have reached out to me this week about the big news. Has anyone here seen it?
