Backrooms fans are going to read this completely backwards this isn't an actor skipping homework it's probably the smartest way to play the character - the character should NOT know what the mould means - she should NOT understand the number 8 - she should NOT walk into that hallway with the wiki open in her brain the whole horror of the Backrooms is realizing the place has rules after you've already broken them Kane Parsons' version worked because it didn't feel like lore homework it felt like found footage from someone who slipped into the wrong room in reality and had no idea what was watching if the movie understands that, they might actually understand the assignment
