The way Michael gripped the doorknob when Joe got closer so he could escape if he started attacking him, then avoided eye contact… it’s the little details in the movie that show Michael’s trauma responses & they nailed it

And it really was from a fan. Girls used to kiss him, tear at his clothes, steal his fedora, pull at his hair, rip off buttons or pieces of his jacket. MJ was too patient cause they were insane 😭

This childhood clip of Jaafar is such insane foreshadowing. He did a circle glide at the Hayvenhurst theater AND it was to Bad!

the way you could still see his scar despite having hair pieces on, yet they pushed him to overwork his body and keep performing. everyone involved in exploiting him throughout his life will have to answer for it

Michael did 'eras' before Madonna debuted. He had concepts in his shows before her. HE put all elements together & created the modern pop star. Stop crediting her just cause your music history is limited to white artists. It all traces back to MJ & other Black artists

Even his own FRIENDS recorded their private phone calls & then sold them. how lonely must he have felt living in a reality where he couldn't trust anyone, where NOBODY had his best interest at heart? do people realize how depressing that is??

PEOPLE ARE FINALLY WAKING UP. It‘s literally why he had to get his nose (and scalp) done multiple times. His skin kept collapsing because of Lupus which wouldn’t allow him to heal, so he *needed* reconstructive surgeries.

Remember when someone asked Michael‘s sound engineer why Michael always sang his own background vocals and he said "cause he couldn’t find a better singer." Exactly.

Michael was dehumanized to the point that it was normalized to call him "crazy monkey" without getting any backlash. People have no idea what he went through. The hate he received, and continues to receive, is all racially motivated.
