The one thing Victor Marx has done consistently in his run for governor is fail to tell the truth. Tina Peters is spot on. Victor Marx now claims Tina had a fair trial, was justly convicted by a jury of her peers, and on record says he would not give her a full pardon. Tina, you will receive a full pardon on Day One of my administration. It will be the very first one I sign. You exemplify truth, honesty, and courage. This week, a 9NEWS reporter ambushed me at the Colorado Capitol, chasing me down to demand I prove my claims about child exploitation in state government. The media narrative? I'm "making things up." I have "no evidence." I'm "unhinged." But while they're busy calling me crazy, look at what the far left is actually doing, providing cover for pedophiles. Don't take my word for it. See for yourself: Every single Colorado Democrat (in committee) just voted to INDEFINITELY POSTPONE a bill that would give LIFE SENTENCES to predators who sex traffic children. Let that sink in. They say I'm making things up about pedophilia in state government, and then they vote to protect the predators. But here's what the same media won't tell you. This isn't new. There's a pattern. In 2024, I co-sponsored HB-1092, a straightforward bill that would have required mandatory minimum prison sentences for adults who purchase children for sex. Under current Colorado law, only a THIRD of people convicted of paying to have sex with children even go to prison. The average age of rescued victims? 13 years old. More than 50 witnesses packed the hearing room. Almost all were in favor. Many were survivors, people who were sold as children and lived to tell about it. I sat in that committee room. I heard testimony that would break your heart. And I watched Colorado House Democrats kill the bill on a party-line vote. 8 Democrats against. Only 3 Republicans, including me, were in favor. Their reason? Two public defenders who admitted they hadn't read the bill until the day before told them to. Democrats also voted against making indecent exposure to children a felony. And now — THIS VERY WEEK — a group of Colorado Democrats introduced SB26-097, a bill to decriminalize prostitution statewide and strip every local community of the ability to enforce their own laws against it. Every single sponsor is a Democrat. So let's be very clear about what's happening here: They call me crazy for sounding the alarm on child exploitation. Then, in the SAME WEEK, they kill a bill to give life sentences to child sex traffickers AND introduce a bill to legalize the sex trade. You tell me who's protecting children and who's protecting predators. I've been in the trenches fighting to protect Colorado's children. I co-sponsored the bills. I sat in the hearings. I listened to the testimony from trafficking survivors, that most people couldn't stomach. And for that, I'm the one being painted as the villain. Meanwhile, the people who killed child protection legislation and are now moving to legalize the sex trade, are treated as reasonable. To make it worse, it's not just the left coming after me. A fellow Republican gubernatorial candidate went live with the same news channel to undercut me, claiming she's "scared for her safety", for the work that I am doing at the capital, all while doing it with a smile on her face. When you're the frontrunner, everyone comes for you. From every direction. I expected that. But the attacks don't change the facts. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 the suspect was released on $75,000 bond with only home confinement and a GPS monitor.
