So if you hold a pan at constant temperature >>212F but <400ish, food doesn’t burn but WILL de-stick from stainless steel pans. Normally this requires skill, but not now. (also, the orange yolk eggs are mysteriously better)

I am TWO weeks in and I have built ~95% of a consumer electronics manufacturing software platform. 1) Manufacturing Test UI that runs our existing test (temperature sensor one shown) but sucks the data out of it to the cloud 2) Relay to install on a bastion host to get data out of locked-down factories (1 and 2 can self-update, including through relays) 3) Cloud Platform (deployed on AWS via terraform using github CI) 4) How I am developing this Claude -- I actually have github CI posting screenshots into the PR comments so I can develop stuff end-to-end on my phone. The world has changed, strap in.

Pretty excited for next week’s update Impulse. Now takes <40s to preheat pans in temperature mode (with … less? overshoot) — you can basically assume that the pan is hot when you start cooking. Will share more soon… this took a ton of work to get right.

OK at popular request, I made Annie’s Mac and Cheese in *about* the minimum time possible, with a stove about 3-4x more powerful than other induction stoves. This also demonstrates how we can control temperature precisely, as that’s key to making the all-important cheese sauce.
