What this guy didn't tell you, is that he removed the first 40 seconds of this clip In it, I talk about how many in the FF7 Remake fandom treat people who criticize this game I include screencaps of FF7R fans who've: 1) Told me to kill myself 2) Threatened to kill me 3) Wished death upon me 4) Called for others to kill me This has been going on for a year straight Maybe I'm being cynical, but I think the reason he removed that part is because it shows I am talking about the fandom - not Square Enix FF7R fans are the ones who spread the lie that I never played the original game, among other things. You can see them doing it in the comment section of his very post. It's not "my" game, but I did play it. But it's my fault for letting that annoy me. I am being cringe in this clip. I could have worded it better. This was recorded Live. I'm not always word-perfect The sad thing is, the part he removed proves what I said. A lot of people do not want to criticize FF7R. Why? Because if you do, there are people in this fandom who will become a never-ending problem in your life. Like him Since he removed the death threats from this clip, I've attached them to this tweet. But they show you how many people in this fandom react when you criticize FF7R There have been more, but unfortunately I only started saving them recently. There's a reason no one takes the JRPG community seriously They call Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 "mid", "slop" and "baby's first JRPG" At the same time, they say games that look like they were made for literal babies "peak" Look at these two scenes. See if you can spot the difference: Do you really think the only thing that sets these apart is that one has realistic graphics, and the other doesn't? E33 elevated the genre. But instead of celebrating it, the worst side of the JPRG community tried to tear it down

FF Resonance looks like Octopath Traveller with the “Final Fantasy” label slapped onto it. Cool if you like Octopath. I hope its fans enjoy it o7 But let’s not pretend this is the same thing as Final Fantasy 17 being Turn-Based (with better writing) I made a video about the very thing you’re doing right now (link in Replies ⬇️) I wasn't going to say anything about Final Fantasy Resonance. I’m not one for awards, but this one truly mattered Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a deeply special game Everything it needs to be good at, it excels in: Storytelling, Gameplay, Music, Art, Acting, Dialogue and Sound In a world of $100 million+ budgets, it was made for less than $10mil When we were told $70 games would soon be $80, it sold for $50 I grew up in the Sakaguchi Era of Final Fantasy. In recent years, I had given up on ever seeing a game that could hit like those classics again. I’m glad I was wrong Thank you Sandfall for making this masterpiece. I don't think Final Fantasy 7 (1997) has a "Bad Ending" It shows Red XIII alive. If he survived when Holy & The Lifestream destroyed Meteor, then the rest of the party probably did, too. We can assume they lived in peace until the end of their days Midgar is overgrown by vegetation. Did humans go extinct? You start to wonder Then the FF7 logo hits the screen. You hear the sound of children's laughter From this Sound & Imagery, you can imply that humanity survived - but it now lives in harmony with nature. Like The Ancients did Because even without Sephiroth & Jenova, Shinra was still killing the planet. Humanity's dependence on Mako energy alone would have killed Earth This is storytelling from a time when writers didn't spell everything out. You could trust the audience to think about the clues given, and reach their own conclusion Is this a hippy message? Sure, but I think it's fine in this context. Caring about the environment doesn't have to be political. Respect for nature is older & deeper than that

The last thing that should have ever influenced FF7 Remake is Final Fantasy X2 That game marked the sharp decline in the series' quality & storytelling. It began the Dark Ages of Final Fantasy (from which it never recovered) FF7 had its own identity. It didn't need to be mashed with FFX2 #FF7 #FF7Rebirth #FinalFantasy7
