#NOAHposting day 4: Kakihara/Ikeda/Ogawa vs. Takayama/Ohmori/Asako, 8/5/00: Kakiharas only match in NOAH, and one wishes he had stayed. The match is a bit long but everyone here is so solid that it's quite good action throughout, and the parts where it gets hot are great.

#NOAHposting day 10: Misawa/Ogawa vs. Ikeda/Shiga, 8/6/00: You'd think Misawa vs Ikeda could be interesting, but Misawa pretty much did the minimum, which is still solid. Ogawa and Shiga carried things early. Starts slow but builds towards a few good moments towards the end.

#NOAHposting day 9: Taue/Izumida vs. Takayama/Ohmori, 8/6/00: A somewhat methodical match, but they ended up getting great reactions through smart work and a few neat spots. Listen to the reaction for the finish. If you don't like Izumida you will not see the kingdom of heaven.

Fit Finlay vs. Satoshi Kojima, Reslo: One of the strangest matches ever, young Satoshi Kojima fights like a kickboxer while Finlay does shootstyle grappling. It also takes place in a boxing ring in some tavern in Wales, AND it aired on TV. Talk about being out there for 1995

#NOAHposting day 11: Kenta Kobashi vs. Jun Akiyama, 8/6/00: Awesome bout. Much more strategic and grounded compared to your typical Kings Road big match, which means you get to see Kobashi trying to pop Akiyamas head off with some ultra tight holds. This one ages extremely well.

#NOAHposting day 7: Eigen/Kikuchi/Kanemaru vs. Hashi/Momota/Rusher, 8/6/00: Hashi and Kanemaru are thrown in with the old uncles. Hashi takes one of the hardest headbutts ever from Kikuchi. Most of the match is clipped to what Eigen and Momota did because these two rule.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Osamu Matsuda: A lot of cool technical stuff from the unmasked El Samurai here in this European rounds match from the mid-2000s. It's also a look at young Nakamura before he became all flamboyant.

RIP Dory Funk Jr. While he is known for his technical style and stoicism, I always think of his performance in the 1981 RWTL against Brody & Snuka. Terry had been knocked out by a Hansen Lariat and Dory desperately tries to fight a 2 on 1 situation.

The impeccable and timeless work of Dory Funk Jr. and Jack Briscoe. Even in the modern day there aren't many wrestler who can pull this stuff off this clean, let alone in a 60 minute match.

One of the most annoying things to me is that we don't have much footage of Pat O'Connor in his prime. Look at the kind of stuff he was doing at age 51!
