Today, in that same spirit, we are launching an economic onslaught against Iran’s financial connections around the globe. Our objective is to sever every economic lifeline that sustains this tyrannical regime until Tehran stands alone. President Trump has taken action that his predecessors have long deferred. With the landmark Trump Accounts, every American born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, is eligible to receive a $1,000 contribution from the Treasury Department that will be immediately invested in an index fund. These investment accounts also create a real-time laboratory of financial literacy for all Americans, providing students with a hands-on education in the power of compound growth.

Show me where communism has ever worked before—whether it’s the Soviet Union, Cuba, or Venezuela. With these policies, you always end up with less. Core inflation, which came out days ago, was 2.5%—a very good number, moving toward the Fed’s 2% target. What we’ve seen over the past year is that wages for the bottom 25% of working Americans were up 5.5%.
