No Justin Jefferson (ankle) today at Vikings practice. We’ll hear from Kevin O’Connell later this afternoon. Otherwise a picture perfect day in Eagan.

Kevin O'Connell said the Vikings haven't pinpointed what might have caused J.J. McCarthy to experience concussion symptoms, but they figure it must have been late in the game. This run, at the 5:01 mark, is at least a possibility.

Usual caveats of preseason, but watch the blocks of LT Christian Darrisaw (71) on Aaron Jones' 18-yard run yesterday, and RG Will Fries (76) on Jordan Mason's 15-yard run. Big emphasis this summer from Kevin O'Connell to play on "the other side of the line" in the run game.

Here's a wide view of the block on Andrew Van Ginkel that more than a few Vikings players were upset about. But pretty wild that Van Ginkel still got the TFL.

J.J. McCarthy talked about this miss to Lucky Jackson postgame. Against Brian Flores' blitzing defense in practice, it's a "one hitch and it's got to be out." In this case, McCarthy said, "if I would have just waited a click longer, I would have found him in that window."

This is a simple example of how Brian Flores wins pre-snap, with help from Harrison Smith. Watch how a 7-man line becomes a 4-man rush, but both Lions tackles are too late to get to their eventual assignments. Dallas Turner and Andrew Van Ginkel converge.

If you choose optimism on this beautiful Monday morning, this is the play to draw it from. A staple in Kevin O'Connell's scheme. Kyler Murray holds the coverage with his eyes and finds the void in the defense. Confident. No hesitation. 27 yards to Jordan Addison on 2nd and 10.

Not easy to see here, but on the decisive KR yesterday, 4 Vikings players -- Tai Felton, Ivan Pace Jr., Austin Keys and Tyler Batty -- got bunched up on the left hashmark. Wide open hole toward the right sideline. Eric Wilson ran from the far side of the field to track it down.

Updating the Vikings' QB situation today on SportsCenter following Daniel Jones' decision to sign with the Colts. A curveball remains *possible* as we otherwise await the public coronation of J.J. McCarthy.
