The hemp provision in this appropriations package wipes out nearly 100% of legal hemp products overnight: killing jobs, crushing farmers, and overriding 23 state laws that already regulate hemp responsibly. Our farmers have turned to hemp as a lifeline when fertilizer, fuel, and equipment costs skyrocketed and crop prices fell. Instead of working with us to crack down on bad actors and synthetic cannabinoids, some in Congress chose prohibition. Kentucky jobs are not collateral. Our farmers are not bargaining chips.

We don’t blow up boats off Miami because 25% of the time suspicion is wrong. We shouldn’t do it off Venezuela either. These are small outboards with no fentanyl and no path to Florida. We can’t just kill indiscriminately because we are not at war. It’s summary execution! Everyone gets a trial because sometimes, the system gets it wrong. Even the worst of the worst in our country get due process. The bottom line is that execution without process is not justice, and blowing up foreign ships is a recipe for chaos.

Two people survived one of the recent boat strikes. They were not detained, not checked for drugs, not prosecuted. They were sent back to be tried in their own country. If the strike was based on the assumption that the boat was carrying drugs, and the survivors weren’t even investigated, do we suspect government simply didn’t have enough proof in the first place? The Constitution requires Congress to authorize war. Until then treat this as law enforcement, not warfare. Lesson to be learned: Adhering to due process prevents chaos and protects the Fourth Amendment. You don’t maintain order by abandoning the Constitution.

Remember, I forced senators to go on the record with a vote on my amendment to eliminate $5 billion in refugee welfare fraud. Disappointingly, 20 Republicans opposed protecting taxpayer dollars. I’m also a co-sponsor of the SAVE America Act, which would require voter ID and strengthen election integrity nationwide. A majority of Americans, regardless of party, support showing ID to vote—there’s no reason to delay a floor vote any longer. Thanks for having me on, Benny Johnson.

No, I don’t hate old people in fact, I aspire to be one and I’d like Social Security to still exist. However, that does not mean math doesn't exist: at this rate, Social Security runs out in 2034 and, if we're to do nothing, everyone gets a 25% cut. We can fix it the same way we did in 1983: gradually raise the age, means-test benefits, and save the program without taxing working families into the ground. That means a little reform now instead of a massive cut later. Reforming Social Security isn’t about taking, it’s about keeping our promises. We can protect seniors and future generations if we’re willing to be honest about the numbers. Thanks for having me Charles V Payne on FOX Business.
