👀Decisions are being made today. If restarting the #XRP ledger from scratch, Ripple CTO David Schwartz discusses using "Rust" is definitely talked about. Proposals from an outside company are currently being considered for a possible modular revamp of pieces. (Rust is a general-purpose, multi-paradigm programming language)

XRP as Real Collateral Mike Higgins, CEO of Ripple Prime, put it this way: "Are the assets just dollars or US treasuries? No, it's Bitcoin, it's Ethereum, it's XRP, it's stablecoins..." He's explaining that major digital assets like XRP will be used the same way institutions currently use traditional assets, as collateral for cross-margining, margin financing, and settlement. He sees a long runway for cross-margining in crypto, both for the major assets and for trading opportunities across many other coins and perpetuals. Still early days, but this is the direction the institutional side is heading.

It's why Vet always talks more quality assets & XRP Ledger Foundation lead Brett Mollin talks LIQUIDITY. 2. XRP = Many use cases outside of payments. Collateral, DeFi + you've heard Asheesh Birla, CEO of evernorthxrp has been talking about the new financial products on XRPL that haven't even been dreamed up yet. The latter for all the speculators🫂.

This clip is poignant for current X conversations. As Vet said yesterday, "the more assets brought to the ledger, the better." $RLUSD is one of those assets that gives a critical on-off ramp to the ecosystem.
