NSW’s Upper House last night voted 21-19 to lift their uranium & nuclear power ban. It’s the first time in recent memory a pro nuclear bill has passed a house of Parliament in Australia. This is a historic first step for lifting the state ban and other bans across the country.

The Gov is doubling down on nuclear disinformation despite warnings of AI power shortages. According to Minister McBain most reactors were "set up in the 1950s" and "countries are puling out". Currently, 63 reactors are under construction and ≈60 nations are adding nuclear.

Once again, nuclear disinformation goes unchecked by Australian media. This claim that nuclear in Australia would cost $600 billion assumed that nuclear costed more than 5x more than even the CSIRO's estimate. The ABC should issue an apology and correction for repeating it once again.

Today nuclear experts and Nuclear Engineer Grace Stanke visited Parliament House to talk to politicians across the aisle about nuclear power. Despite being invited, the Prime Minister and Energy Minister refused to attend our briefing or a private meeting. It incredibly disappointing that when the experts are in town they are ignored by our leaders.

The government has run out of excuses for keeping nuclear power illegal. During this interview with Anthony Albanese the hosts press him on why nuclear power is banned… Albo: “no one is saying that - hey, we want to invest in this [nuclear]. No one.” Host: “There's a rule that says you can't.” Albo: “No, that's because it doesn’t stack up.” Host: “Why do you need a rule if the business case doesn’t stack up, to ban it?” Albo: “Because it doesn’t stack up” Host: “Well, get rid of the moratorium, then” The lack of clear answers goes to show that the government’s only justification for defending the bans on nuclear power is politics. It is wrong to conflate the economics of nuclear with a principled position to just consider nuclear power. At this time, we need all options on the table, including nuclear power. Sign our petition:

$600bn, 4% of the grid, Not ready til the 2040s 👆These are all LIES about nuclear power Here's the facts: 1/ '$600bn Cost' This figure is from the 'Smart' Energy Council (renewable lobby group). It extrapolates the cost of Hinkley C (the most expensive nuclear power plant ever) and literally doubles it. Even the CSIRO assumes lower nuclear capital costs for Australia. 2/ '4% of the grid' This figure is also from the 'Smart' Energy Council from dividing 11GW of nuclear capacity by 300GW of renewable capacity. However, Capacity ≠ Generation. 1GW of renewable capacity generates roughly a third of the power of 1GW of nuclear capacity. 3/ 'Not ready til the 2040s' The IAEA predicts it would take 10-15 years for a new to nuclear country to have nuclear power. The is the advice the Australian Government relies on for nuclear yet is being ignored by the PM & Energy Minister. These claims must be exposed. The nuclear disinformation campaign has gone too far. Also, no wonder the private sector isn't interested in nuclear in Australia. It's literally illegal right now in Australia. Learn more about nuclear: ✍️Sign to lift the ban:

Australia is the most tectonically stable continent. Yet Australian Labor Party politicians continue to fear monger about earthquakes impacting potential nuclear plants. If only they knew the United States, Taiwan & Japan all safely operate nuclear plants on the ring of fire.
