🇷🇺 Empty streets and bankrupt stores, this is Sochi and Adler during peak season. Many Russians didn’t care when 25,000 predominantly Russian-speaking Ukrainians were slaughtered in Mariupol, including children. But they care about cars, fuel, lip fillers and holidays. Ukraine understands this perfectly. 🇺🇦

It makes me physically sick to see Russia on American soil after their campaign of torture and murder. A shameful, tragic day for America. What a PR win for Putin Putin's special representative Kirill Dmitriev posted a view from the plane with the caption "sunny and beautiful in Alaska." Thanks Trump for giving them Maximum publicity and rewarding their genocide.

Another video has emerged of Russian servicemen appearing to back earlier statements by Russian soldier Alexander Lunin, who called for a meeting with Putin and threatened a military coup. In the latest clip, the soldiers say they are “ready to turn their weapons against those who cause them pain.” Lunin has said he wants to tell Putin about alleged mass torture, corruption, and extortion within the Russian military. If authentic, it points to growing frustration from within Russia’s own armed forces.

Putin is failing. In my lifetime, I’ve never seen him under this much pressure. Russia has suffered more than 1.4 million casualties, with over 240,000 Russian war dead confirmed by name. After four years of war, his principal territorial success, the southern land corridor linking Russia to occupied Crimea is increasingly under threat. Crimea remains the jewel in Putin’s crown and is getting smashed and becoming extremely expensive to hold. Meanwhile, the war he launched is no longer something he can keep confined to Ukraine. It is becoming permanently fixed in Russian life, drone attacks, disrupted airports, economic pressure, mobilisation and the prospect of yet more Russians being sent to fight. Four years, staggering casualties, and no decisive victory, by almost any reasonable measure, it has been a disaster for Putin.

Journalist: “Are you aware that Russia has intensified its attacks on civilian targets? Does this concern you?” Trump: “Listen, we are not involved in this. In general, an ocean separates us.” North Korean ballistic missiles are already being fired at Ukrainian cities, while North Korean troops are reportedly training in Russia. That ocean is starting to look considerably smaller.

Ukraine has regained control of Andriyivka-Klevtseve (Iskra) in Donetsk region. 🇺🇦 Around 30 Russian troops were reportedly taken prisoner during the operation. The operation was carried out by special forces from Ukraine’s 3rd Special Operations Forces Regiment, with a psychological operations unit also reportedly playing a significant role. 🇺🇦

Another Russian military locomotive hit in Bryansk. That’s three in four days. The real damage isn’t just the train. A disabled locomotive can block an entire rail line, delaying ammunition, fuel, equipment and troop movements across the network until it is cleared. Wars run on logistics. Ukraine keeps finding ways to make Russia’s run a little slower. 🇺🇦

Russia is now on a rampage, killing indiscriminately and trying to make Ukrainian cities uninhabitable. At this point, the distinction between civilian and soldier appears increasingly meaningless to the Kremlin. Homes, hospitals, schools and infrastructure are all treated as part of the battlefield. This isn’t simply about taking territory. It’s about making normal life in Ukraine impossible, certainly not saving “Russian speakers” In Boryspil, Russians struck food storage facilities - they are trying to create a humanitarian crisis in Ukraine 🇺🇦

The irony isn’t lost on me. I’m standing on a platform in Ukraine, with ballistic missiles and jet-powered drones hitting major cities. I’ve just had to evacuate a train while reading that NATO apparently needs to strengthen military communication with Russia to prevent World War III. 🙃 You really couldn’t make it up.

“He is a Nazi,” declared Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the man responsible for Europe’s largest war of aggression since 1945, in response to the appointment of Ukraine’s new Commander-in-Chief, Mykhailo Drapatyi. It’s always the same refrain from the Kremlin: “Nazi, Nazi, Nazi.” Meanwhile, Russia continues to commit the very crimes it falsely accuses others of, invading sovereign neighbours, deliberately targeting civilians, torturing prisoners, deporting children, and attempting to erase a nation’s identity and culture. The Kremlin is everything it claims to oppose, embracing the very methods that defined some of Europe’s darkest chapters.

03:50 a Russian missile struck roughly 1km/ 1.5km from our location. We were among the first on the scene. No emergency services had arrived. Around 20 missiles appear to have hit the Kyiv area over several hours. We are documenting what we can from the ground however one witness at the scene said there are people inside. There is no way we can even check 🙏

Huge rally in Kyiv today in support of Mykhailo Fedorov. As I’ve been saying from the start, reform isn’t just a political talking point in Ukraine, it’s something people are prepared to take to the streets for. Fedorov is widely seen as one of the key drivers of that reform agenda, and these demonstrations show just how much public support he continues to command.

Despite Zelensky saying he’s ready for presidential elections, and even backing online voting so Ukrainians abroad can participate, it’s not what Putin wanted. The move has backfired. A smart piece of politics has exposed the lie at the heart of Moscow’s narrative: this was never about “democracy” or “legitimacy.” With that excuse gone, Putin is left calling for more war, because war, not elections, is the point of Imperialism

Brutal, but to understand the current battlefield, you have to see it, I mean up close. With a 100km wide kill zones, many Russians will die never actually seeing an enemy position, in form up points, bases, and the travel in. This "road of death" - a small section in the Pokrovsky direction, in the Donetsk region, FPV drones destroyed a dozen units of military equipment and enemy assault vehicles This is the reality of Putin’s war.
