This is not OK! IMO the base runner was looking to inflict harm on the catcher. Why he wasn’t immediately ejected by the umpire is beyond me. He seemed to be proud of what he did and that has to be addressed. I guess I just don’t understand MLB players anymore. After starting the 2026 MLB season 0 for 16 you finally get a hit that barely gets out and you act like this? I mean he’s (49) for (282) for a (.174) batting average since the Texas Rangers signed him for $37,000,000! We have failed these kids! Perfect Game USA promotes this behavior and the coaches are no better. MLB has promoted the #LetTheKidsPlay initiative and it has trickled down to youth baseball. It’s all about self promotion and poor sportsmanship now. #shegone

This is the problem with the Blast Motion gimmick. Kids are over swinging and not developing a swing that will work in a game. Big Alex Bregman fan! He’s been one of the best players in the MLB over his first 9 years. I love that he wears #2 to remind the team that didn’t pick him #1 that they messed up! But last offseason he was using the Farm Board a lot in his hitting routines. I guess he was working on the Scissor Kick idk. I do know that he started the season (47-215) or (.219). He did revert back to what he did before to salvage his (.260), (26 HR) & (76 RBI) with a (.768 OPS) but it was the worst season of his career and I can’t help but wonder why a player who has been remarkably consistent would alter his mechanics using a gimmick like the Farm Board. Escarra the 29 year old Rookie catcher for the New York Yankees and…cousin of Jonah Artiles Jonah Artiles who is an excellent hitting instructor out of Florida. Teacherman and his minions have criticized Jonah many times suggesting he isn’t a good instructor probably because they know I believe he is a great instructor and we both teach kids to hit DOWN THROUGH THE BALL and not the HLP garbage. Here’s a video of me taking BP in the offseason after my Rookie Year with the Texas Rangers in 1992. I had a lot more movement early on in my career and learned to stay back better as I got older. I was a little guy who had to put everything I had into it to drive the ball. I weighed 165 lbs in this video but I could hit the ball hard for my size. I also didn’t realize that my back foot did that until I saw the video. For the record I never once worked on a Scissor Kick and I definitely never used a Farm Board! Coaches have failed in teaching kids how to behave on a baseball field and sadly the MLB is encouraging this behavior! I can only imagine what my roommate Joe Don Dunn would have done to a hitter who flipped his bat and backed into him as he admired it! I don’t really care what you think you know about fielding at 2nd base Trevor. I only know that you didn’t do it and I did. By you endorsing this stupid drill you clearly don’t know what I know. I do know that you were 6’4” and 248 lbs and threw mid to high 90’s and under achieved at the MLB level and now you make videos on YouTube with losers like KingofJUCO and play Fortnite I on the other hand was never supposed to make the SHOW as a 30th round draft pick who signed for $2,000 after his senior year of NAIA baseball. I didn’t play 9 years in the Big Leagues because I was physically gifted at 5’9” 160 lbs. I played 9 years and hit (.290) because I was a student of the game and learned how to play on the dirt by some of the best coaches and former players in the game. #shegone

I’m not a Manny Machado fan and I am baffled that he decided to work with Richard Schenck, The Heretic JFD PPP LQC TTE. 🙂 but I agree 💯 on his view of analytics and wish more players would speak out about it. I firmly believe that MLB players are getting too much information and that it’s hurting their performance because they are overthinking. I believe in keeping it simple and using the tools you have developed over a lifetime of playing and going out and competing with a clear head.
