In our continuous efforts to enhance the city's air quality, #PCMC has taken a significant stride by introducing seven state-of-the-art vehicles into the municipal fleet as part of the National Clean Air Programme. These vehicles, equipped with advanced features, include two with a road washer system dedicated to keeping city roads clean and promoting better air quality. Additionally, five vehicles are now fitted with a Movable Fog Cannon Dust Suppression System, strategically positioned in main squares to address air pollution. Transforming Connectivity: PCMC Approves Major Road Development Projects for Punawale, Tathawade, and Wakad. Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has greenlit a series of critical road development projects aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving connectivity in fast-growing areas like Punawale, Tathawade, and Wakad. As these neighborhoods experience rapid urbanization and industrial growth, the need for wider, more efficient roads has become essential. The plan specifically targets easing traffic bottlenecks in Ward 25, particularly in high-traffic zones such as Bhumkar Chowk and Bhujbal Chowk in Wakad. Once completed, these upgrades will bring significant relief to residents and commuters by cutting down travel time and boosting road safety. The new infrastructure will feature organized parking spaces, pedestrian-friendly footpaths, and efficient drainage systems to mitigate waterlogging during the monsoon season.
